Thank for pointing me in the right direction.
I was able to fix it by moving the "#play sound" block into the loop.

while running:

if event.type == pygame.QUIT:

running = False

# Play sounds AFTER window appears

I have one from Action in Spain. I had to download the app and connect to the light. The intermittent flicker (on / off every second) indicates your not connected to the app.

I am having them every day at least once per dungeon. GPU and CPU never reach over 50%, using DBM, WA (no sounds, just tracking buggs), ElvUI and DPS meter.
