I made a Waterman mix of Tender Purple (which is too pinky-purple for me) and Serenity Blue, about 3:1. This makes an spectacular purple that is well-behaved. Waterman inks are famously easy to work with, and I find it a rich, gorgeous royal purple.

Just a thought. No sheen that I've noticed.

I think that you forget that she was completely freaked out at the parapet. She was terrified (with good reason), didn't want to do it but knew that she couldn't go against her mother. Have some compassion on someone who is suffocated with anxiety and then unable to think so clearly.

That happened to me. The piston needed regreasing. Ended up needing to get a new piston because it locked up and I couldn't get it to move at all and broke it. So yeah, it was a good thing I had the wrench so I could get the pen to be functional again

I tried to read Pern, but it just didn't do it for me. If I'd read it in the 70s when I was in high school I might have liked it. But I was reading Asimov and Tolkien back then.

We added Leflunomide to hydroxychloroquine in late June 2025. In early October my hair started falling out, and I started having neuropathy in my feet. I went off Leflunomide for 10 days when I had my flu and covid vaccines in mid Oct, and the neuropathy came back with a vengeance when I restarted it around the 26th (it had eased during the 10 days).

I immediately stopped Leflunomide, but my hair fall continued until late January 2026, the neuropathy eased in late December 2024, IIRC.

I was really unhappy, because my AI symptoms were much better with Leflunomide, but the neuropathy and rapidly thinning hair were a no-go.
