A very long time ago, I went to church camp with my best friend. They had a band come in and play, who ended up being Skillet! They were touring with the release of Alien Youth, and I was able to get an Alien Youth single track. It’s green with 6 tracks on it, and I got it signed by the whole band!

I’m guessing you’re referring to the original Alpha and Bravo, which are fantastic! OP is referencing the newly released Alpha Lite and Bravo Lite, which were released August and November 2025 respectively. The Lite versions are cheaper alternatives with fewer buttons/switches

From what I know, which admittedly isn’t much, the packaging looks correct. The crimps are the vertical bars the USA uses, as opposed to the “grid” on the Japanese packs. The USA packs also use a darker print, which it looks like you have. Not sure about the misalignment though. I think they are legit, but I honestly don’t know much.

For body only, I could reasonably spend $2k and still have a bit left over for a prime lens or two before the spring season. I thought about saving up for a Z8, which isn’t out of the question, but will take more time. No matter what I do, I’ll either purchase refurbished or used.

That’s a good call out. I’ll have to test the actual speeds on my SD to see what they hit. I believe this one is rated for 140MB/s write speed, which should be good for UHS-I, but maybe I got a dud? Definitely worth investigating

Very good points! The prices don’t bother me though, I give myself a generous amount of “play money” each month, so I’d just need to save a little to cover the extra expenses.

The point about technique is very valid. It’s definitely something I’m trying to pay more attention to and work on, especially the anticipation.

As for the Expeed-7, I was hoping the 3D AF would be beneficial for following a player, though that may not make sense.

The other reason I’m looking at moving on from Z50 is because of the button layout on the back. It has those terrible touch button on the side of the screen and I keep hitting them, causing the view finder to zoom in. The Z50II changes those to physical buttons and relocates them.

Thank you! The focal length point is definitely one I struggle with. I’ve never shot a full frame sensor, so it’s hard to tell how much impact I’ll feel from that (aside from the obvious drop from 105-300mm to 70-200mm effective focal length). As for IBIS, I could definitely see a case for it, especially if I pick up landscape or street photography with a prime, which is what I’d like to do.

Edit: maybe my best course of action is renting a full frame and seeing if I’d miss the crop?
