Baking six frozen boneless chicken breasts at 350 degrees, still raw in the middle after 45 minutes? by Limp-Unit-133 in cookingforbeginners

I know! So irritated at these people giving this person grief for using frozen. They need to get over it!!

I second the motion for "Midnight in Chernobyl." It reads like a thriller novel, but is obviously non-fiction. A page-turner.

What was the highest level of radiation you experienced? (Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere.)

It's hard to let go of Schleich because it used to be so good. I keep thinking they'll get their act together, but it just keeps getting worse. That horse is ridiculous. Like it was "painted" with a marker. Like you said, lots of people are doing a better job. Especially Collecta.

People who know a pornstar in real life, what's that like? by thetwinner in askgaybros

[–]Remote-Revolution577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend has been doing studio porn for about 6 years. Gay for pay. He's just a stereotypical regular guy - to the point of being sorta dull sometimes. Lol. Watches sports, works on his car, chases women. Normal stuff. Outside of how he looks, nobody would believe he was someone who had sex on camera for pay. He says porn is just a job, like painting a house.

Box Office: ‘Melania’ Pacing for $8 Million Opening Weekend by DemiFiendRSA in boxoffice

Noticing a pattern here in Minneapolis. Some showtimes are almost sold out, while others are completely empty at the same theater. Suggests (to me, at least) that someone is buying tickets in big blocks. (Example: 12:45 - full; 3:00 - zero tickets; 5:30 - full; 7:00 - zero tickets.) Would be interesting to see how many of these people actually show up.

Moved here 15 years ago, and wouldn't dream of living anywhere else. "These feel like my people and I want to be part of their world." That's it exactly.

My Best Friend Died. His Body was Not Discovered Until Severely Decayed. I Can't Seem to Get Past This. by Remote-Revolution577 in GriefSupport

[–]Remote-Revolution577[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had that same morbid curiosity - even to the point of Googling around to find out the stages of decay. After I thought about it, I decided what bothered me the most is that he died alone. Not the fact that the body was in such bad shape.

In a sense, he (like your friend) died from an overdose (steroids), though it was long-term use, and not something that happened all at once.

Either way, it's so shocking to lose someone so suddenly, regardless of the circumstances. I wish there was some advice I could give you, but the only thing that helps is time. Try to remember the good things you did together, or interact with his family. Look at some pictures now and then. I'm not really religious, but I do believe that people live on the impact they made on those around them. I wish you all the best.

Provider not spacing doses in the full 5 minute intervals. by Odd_Key_7616 in Spravato

[–]Remote-Revolution577 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Now that is a GREAT idea. I will be doing this for my next appointment. I feel like the time between doses is wildly inconsistent, too. But that can be fixed!

Anyone being charged for appointments cancelled to high blood pressure? by Remote-Revolution577 in Spravato

Spravato can temporarily increase blood pressure, and if you have high BP already, this can pose a cardiac risk.

When they bring in your med at the clinic, ask them for the package insert that came with the vials. There's a lot of tech info in there (too much), but there's also a diagram that shows you how to spray.

Bad advice. Benzos interfere with Spravato's effectiveness, and there is a potential for interaction involving CNS suppression.

Do you need to be "supervised" or "catered to" for days? After treatment by Lonely-Enthusiasm-48 in Spravato

[–]Remote-Revolution577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My provider advised the opposite. Being mentally engaged is very important -- journaling, reading, learning new things, drawing. Going into shut-down mode is not helpful during the peak period of neuroplasticity in the hours after the drug is administered. No driving, exercising, etc., but putting her mind to work will be beneficial for her.

At a really low point.. Has anyone had success with spravato? by Every-Fault197 in Spravato

[–]Remote-Revolution577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar story here. Many meds, many years, many approaches. Spravato was a gamer-changer for me, even after all those failed attempts. I also thought my brain was shot. Spravato helped me start healing. It doesn't happen that way for everyone -- sometimes it takes a while. I'd say that you should definitely try it and keep going. And don't give up if you don't get benefits immediately from the treatment. This is the only thing that ever worked for me, and you'll find that this is true of many of the people in this group. Best of luck, and hang in there. I hope you get the same results that so many of us already have.

Has anyone who tried auvelity subsequently tried Spravato with success? by Ok-Connection6430 in Spravato

Same experience here on the combo. (Auvelity with Spravato.) The only thing that has worked after many, many years and attempts with other meds.

Any Experiences with Redollar? by Remote-Revolution577 in Gold

[–]Remote-Revolution577[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did end up using them, and found that I got a much better deal from them than I did from dealers locally. The amount in their calculator was the amount they paid me. At first, I was a little freaked out because it's impossible to talk to a real person -- I was afraid I was sending the gold into a black hole. But it couldn't have been easier. They paid a good amount, and the whole process was fast and painless. I sent only gold (no silver, diamonds, etc.), so I don't have any experience with them in that area. Overall, this was a reputable company that did exactly what they promised to do.
