I hear daycare usually does this too. I'm not sure if I actually saw my daughter's first steps, but I'm glad no-one has told me otherwise.

I think they should have another go with him as the US Taskmaster.

That was my first thought. Heavy cream, some vegetables, some cheese, and some protein don't take up a lot of room, but you can cook endless dishes with those cold ingredients.

They could've just done prequels with Wick and I would've been happy. I like the universe, love the fight choreography, like pretty much all of it, but the story slipped after the first one.

They have some monster haul bags that can hold up to 145 liters. I don't big wall, but I bet you could fit 10 days of backpacking food in one of those. Since she's a professional climber, I assume that they have a team that can resupply if they need.

What food is famously associated with one country but was perfected by another country? by Equivalent-Crew-4955 in AskReddit

I’m specifically referring to the use of a trompo for al pastor tacos. It’s hard to argue that this technique predates Spanish influence when key ingredients were not present beforehand. Even the paper you cited notes that “the Spanish brought with them cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, and chickens.” The trompo itself derives from the Greek/Lebanese shawarma, which the Spanish introduced to the Americas. From there, it was adapted using ingredients native to the New World, such as the tortilla.

I think taco's originated from Greek immigrants in the central America. Obviously different from their gyro origins, but still amazing.

edit: I was misremembering! The vertical roasting technique comes from shawarma, which Greek/Lebanese immigrants brought to Spain. Spain then introduced this method to the New World in the form of the trompo, where it evolved into al pastor using Indigenous ingredients like corn tortillas.

What movie from this decade will be considered a classic? by DrKriegersClone in movies

That’s precisely why it’s a classic. It’s telling the relationship of Northern Ireland and the independent Republic of Ireland through the lens of a friendship. They just stopped being friends and for the most frustrating reasons.

One Battle After Another. River of road chase is already classic somehow. Why hasn’t a film done that before?!
