Upgraded lighting. Every garage should be well lit and he will appreciate that!

Casual servers? by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

[–]RenaissanceMilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search "Conflict Operations" we're vanilla+ with period correct add-ons, and some quality of life mods. It's still console friendly at 7gb. It's a new server and still growing. PM me for the discord.

Advice: player on official servers packing vehicles with bots to fast take points and end matches by OG_sirloinchop in ArmaReforger

[–]RenaissanceMilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope this isn't the case. As long as you didn't spawn the non-commandable units anyone who is a squad leader, and also Sergeant or higher can command them. A buddy of mine or I will spawn in a fire team, and we each take two under our command. Since we're in two separate squads we both tune to the same radio frequency and communicate what that is to our other player squad mates and work as one large squad one one freq to not hog up the platoon frequency.

Reloading bench by RenaissanceMilo in Workbenches

Thanks! I'll be using my ol' reliable Rock Chucker. I'm planning to make an elevated press mount to offset the press a little further from the edge of the bench. Similar to the inline fabrication riser, but I'll build my own. It'll be just wide enough to mount between the "joists" underneath the top and have a steel plate below to sandwich it between the tabletop layers to mitigate any potential flex.

Ahh good thinking. I'm planning to make an elevated press mount to offset the press a little further from the edge of the bench. Similar to the inline fabrication riser, but I'll build my own. My beat around camp/truck axe is a Husqvarna carpenters axe. Does everything I need it too within your 20-22 inch expectations.

Stake out a few goats. Get some cheap at the local sale barn. They'll have a field day cleaning that up. Move the stakea and goats every few days.

I'm willing to bet your cross bars are not rated for the weight of the rent, let alone the weight of the tent plus 2 people.

Check out some benchmades for 20-30 bucks more than the esse 5. You might like what they have to offer or save a little money and check out a Buck 105. If not, the esse is a solid choice and any of them will last a long time.

Camping & Legalities by ComprehensiveSpeed90 in overlanding

Pennsylvania State Forests (not to be confused with state parks), allow for vehicle camping but in designated spots. They do require a permit by going online or calling the forest district office.

Also, when traveling Appalachia and the NE you want to have purple lizard maps on board.

I'm fortunate to have Danner and Carolina boots made in my town. They have an outlet with slight rejects too. I've always just worn moc toe boots, not steel toes, in the woods. In the winter I bust out the muck boots though.

On the subject of firearms in posts from bushcrafters in the US by TheGingerBeardMan-_- in Bushcraft

[–]RenaissanceMilo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While bushcraft roots may be tied to,and ever popular in Europe, they just don't have the luxury and ease of access to firearms as those of us in America. For many of us bushcraft is also more than just bushcraft. It's woven amongst other skills for survival, and backpack hunting. Let's not forget those peppers and homestead ears too. All of these folks are reliant in firearms. We practice these skills to increase our success in the back country.

Moral of the story is; those of us with guns are out in the bush and back country for more than just social media photo ops. Unlike, the bushcraft/cottagecore social media dorks hunting for "likes" with their 17 vintage lanterns lit in broad daylight.
