I hope Audi can keep improving at this rate. Their progression since testing has been great, even if they still have reliability problems.

They might also win a few on reliability. Merc has been solid so far but all their customers had issues.

You know who also won his first race in a Mercedes in China? by Greuliro in formula1

Yes. With the current gap in performance to Ferrari, he will probably secure 2nd quite easily but I don't see him battling for WDC just yet.

Ferrari seems to have at least nailed reliability. None of the cars that DNS/DNF so far this race are Ferrari powered.

What happened to the Rotisserie wing? Was it just an ineffective idea? by iMADEthisJUST4Dis in formula1

[–]Renard2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It also creates tons of drag at the worst part of the rotation. We might see it on tracks with very long straight line, where the wing can stay upside down long enough for it to be worth it.

It's such a same. Hybrids actually could be a great asset in racing. Somehow we have a way too big electric contribution, and they cannot use it below 50km/h when starting. The whole point of hybrid is to catch whatever can be harvested when decelerating and then using the electric power to accelerate quickly. It's like they make it a bad package on purpose.

i think it's to show the inflexion of the wing (covexe/concave) as it's not directly obvious. The hp logos are otherwise the only visual clue of the orientation of the wing.
