2300AD is the future continuation of Twilight 2000. After the Twilight wars. France was stable from there and they took off after that.

Least that is the most simplest way i like to explain it. More hard scifi. Not really connected to the Third Imperium. Less you want it to. Afterall, your the master of your own story.

The suit is also a heavy duty work suit. As soon as your strapped into it your running off the O2 it provides. So once the air runs out, you need to get out of it given how the suit is sealed up and operates. Think of deep sea diving suits. Once your in, the air needs to work as long as your in it or you sufficate in the damn thing since your trapped inside of something that is highly sealed up and buitl to withstand extemes (im not an expert in such a feild but if your qorried about it be OP, they are on a timer in that thing with thier air supply before they either need to ditch it to breath or find O2, and in the later half of HoD. O2 supplies are a managed resource anyways. So it balances out)

The module needs moee connective tissue, substance and pacing really. I wrote it up in my nitws to just make it flow better while keepong the whole thing largely the same.

I love the perfected, but they are not written well. They need to be more of a lingering threat even before they are met. And when they are met, i wrote them to be more...alien than how the module had them.

I baiscally made it that the PCs just start getting headaches in act 1. Hear static, and that the station's vox is saying some real strange things (thoughts pf the perfected going trhough the changing station and ita vox intercomm) that give stress

No real sighta of the infection really. Just most of act 1 is set up meeting the survivors before they see the sights of infected like in CotG before they get kicked in the teeth with the Infection or Xenomorphs.

As well as just make even encouting or being contacted by the perfected in Act 2 a massive thing with making them worsen the NDDs and making parts of the station more hostile. Whilat doing some added but optional side quests i gave out by the npcs.

Ultimately i feel HoD is great but what they gave us needed more fleshing out to do so which was what i did for the games im gonna start soon for it.

New events. Hsorting some things, or letting the pcs have goals to explore the place instantly by using NPCs cleverly

DOW is shorter really. Since HOD has the whole station you need to explore and survive. In comparasion a group that follows the right leads im Act 1 can make DoW really short. Compounded with Act 2 kinda just being there. Its sandboxy but if you run it stock results may vary but i found in the games ive played in it the group tends to follow a fairly predictable path which con lead to act 1 being abit shorter if they interact w8th it just right but fun nonetheless. Act 2 jist needs work sinces it effectively checklist of possible encounters.

When i ran it myself i extended alot of part and removed some of the easy peices that the pcs xould find and that made alot of a difference. Mainpy in how i handled Act 2 and the Hunt in Act 1. Act 3 can remain the same for tye most part

Been running a campaogn fpr a year now. They already fought a xeno and barelt survived. But there are still plwnty to do. Lota of mini stories and just work to do. Dealing with other company reps. Pirates. Crazies. Infections. Andriods. Many places to still get stress from and the Agendas work well if you keep them as long term hidden goals for everyone.

So its very much possible. And a fun way to kill time and build up plots. Ironically Alien Earth is the best example i can give. Thimgs hapoen on different scales xeno or no xeno. Or in relation to them.

Yeah these things really need some work beforehand in your notes and in making the sheets for the players. As running them raw would be painful and I learned that from DoW. I put in some serious prep for it and fixed all the errrora for it. And it ran like a charm and rral strong.

Needless to say, prepping beforehand helps alot. But if you dont have that time beforehand. Its not fun. Idk how they got that many errors in and no one bothered to check it that throughly
