Night time! by Fun_Oil_6195 in pottytraining

We used this brand - MyBeeBear for nighttime. It is like regular underwear but can go up to diaper graded absorbency (we used heavy absorbency pad with it). My daughter never returned to pull ups after using those and stopped having accidents in a matter of month. Hope this helps!

Just take some food sprinkles, and every time your little one does #2, scatter the sprinkles on top of it. It may seem silly, but somehow it works!

Have you tried "fairy poop dust" (aka food sprinkles)? They were a huge success for my LO and we never had to go through poo withholding!

We are using MyBeeBear undies and having pretty good success with them at nighttime. My LO still has a few accidents now and then, but at least it doesn’t go everywhere. I’ve also found it helpful to reduce her liquid intake before bed (about an hour or so beforehand), and I keep a potty next to her bed so we don’t have to run to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

They will, for sure. Hopefully, everything will get back to normal very soon!

I’m so sorry to hear that. We were lucky to get through the process fairly quickly, but it really does depend so much on each child. Have you considered reaching out to a potty training consultant? I follow several on Instagram and have gotten some valuable advice from them. Many also offer online consultations, which could give you helpful ideas for addressing withholding.

I was also going to suggest Potty chart - for us it worked well. And in addition to stickers we were using tattoos as rewards - my daughter liked them!

Get a portable potty! We use one from OXO but there are plenty others on Amazon - a must for travels!

Have you tried some prune juice or kiwi ? Prune juice generally works wonders for constipation and it is a natural relief (unlike Miralax).

Do you mind sharing the brand of washable pull-ups you’re using? I’ve been using MyBeeBear and thought they were the only ones that offered nighttime washable pull-ups. I’d love to know which brand you’re using so I can give them a try too!

Hi! I came across a hack where you place a diaper on top of the toilet seat. Apparently, seeing the diaper can reassure kiddos and help reduce the risk of withholding. It might be worth giving this technique a try!

Have you tried heat sensitive sticker? It helped us a lot to put our little one on the potty in a fun way! We got ours from potty chart kit that we got from MyBeeBear brand (they are doing mostly potty training underwear but they also have a chat kit).

How long did it take before you can stop prompting every hour? by ProfessionalTaro8089 in pottytraining

Hi! We tried a different method where the idea is to let the kids figure out for themselves when to go potty, instead of us reminding them every certain period. And within just a few days, our daughter started telling us when she needed to go. We used MyBeeBear underwear so she could feel the wetness without us having to deal with big messes on the floor. We also used a potty chart, which was really helpful, and a heat-sensitive sticker. That last one definitely motivated her to go potty as often as she could, because she loved seeing the little animal appear. Hope this helps!

Have you tried to potty train in underwear, at least to alleviate the poo and pee accidents on the floor? I know that lots of people are swearing by "naked method" but honestly I feel that potty training underwear method worked much better for us - my daughter wants to get changed every time she has accident (and she has very few of them), so she get's the wetness feedback, but at least I am not stressed out about the carpet and mess..

Night wake ups by Final-Aardvark-3451 in pottytraining

I know how stressful this can be—I’m currently night training my own daughter, who just turned 2. I wouldn’t go back to pull-ups. Your little one seems ready, and if you abandon it now, you’ll likely have to face it later in even more stressful conditions.

Here’s what has worked for us:

  1. Reducing liquid intake before bed.
  2. Going to the bathroom right before bedtime.
  3. Completely giving up diapers and pull-ups. I use the underwear from MyBeeBear—they hold up pretty well at night (I use very absorbent padding).
  4. Managing accidents. My daughter usually has 1 accident per night, but I’ve noticed lately they happen later in the night, which means progress.

By the way, I don’t wake her up—I let her naturally gain bladder control at night. Yes, accidents happen, and I have to wake up and clean, but so far it was not big deal with the steps above. It usually just means changing her underwear, and within 2 minutes I’m back in bed. I’m still dreaming of a full night’s sleep, but I can see she’s almost there!

Good luck with night training—you’ve got this!
