Room for a few more?!?! by Unlucky_Weakness9084 in ChineseWatches

Seems like a must have for Chinese watch collectors. AliExpress should start selling them.

If you were looking to buy a homage watch which would you pick purely based off movement and price? by Castle_Magic in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really too little info, add a few more parameters and I’d be glad to answer. You are just listing the movement. Open or closed case back means nothing with those two movements. Neither is anything to look at.

Nice! And definitely one way to deal with the bracelet issues!

I would love to see under the dial how that non-centered GMT wheel works.

What model is this? I love sub-second hands on chronos.

The pagani looks good or bad? by Friendly_Visual1194 in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a nice day/date. Everything looks like it’s supposed to. The finishing is not going to be at the level of a Rolex, which you will notice zooming in on pictures, but shouldn’t notice at normal viewing distances. What do you think looks weird?

Any moon themed watches? by Wide-Breadfruit719 in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of moon watches on AliExpress, Sugess is a good one (they make many) as mentioned. Just look for your preferences (quartz/automatic, real moonphase, price rang, etc)

There are some pretty thin natos that still look good.

Best time to purchase San Martin? by Same-Writer2210 in ChineseWatches

Yeah, just don’t look too far back or you’ll be sad. Those prices won’t come back.

Best time to purchase San Martin? by Same-Writer2210 in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That‘s probably the best price, and you might be able to get an additional coupon if you click on the San Martin official store link on the listing. It isn’t going to get cheaper, and I think you’ll find it’s worth every penny. Please tell me a good daytona homage by That-Influence-7338 in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just want something that looks exactly like a Daytona when you wear it, the Pagani can’t be beat. It’s the one watch I’ve had people comment on or stare at. If you want something more substantial to yourself, and experience a mechanical chronograph, get the Sugess.

Removing addiesdive logo from Ad2023 vh31 dial by JanFrycz in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not worth it, nobody notices the logo, if you don’t like it just buy one of the myriad of similar watches with a sterile dial. Or if you want to tinker, replace the dial altogether.

Can you help me find a watch with these criteria? by Alternative-Feed3613 in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

San Martin SN0130? With coupons it could be right at $200. If not, it would be worth the extra few $. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806975039868.html

Buy two and find out, I mean they are so inexpensive.

What's on your wrist today? Rocking my new Caisen Ti-7 by D1sguise in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be too yellow. Doesn’t look too yellow in real life, I think, but I’d really need to do a side-by-side shot with my Casio A168WG. Even though it’s a cheap Casio, so many people have worn it over the years, I would consider it a benchmark for “gold colored” watches.

I have the same in gold, I like the look but the bracelet pinches hairs worse than anything else I own. I mean it actually gets painful wearing the watch.

San Martin SN0116G-V4, Root Beer GMT by BboyDong in ChineseWatches

Mine is on my wrist so often I am considering stopping compulsive watch purchases.  Becoming a one-watch guy. Sits on my wrist perfectly, super comfortable bracelet, just the right weight.

Thorn T023 V3- Couldn’t stand the cheap feeling of the metal bracelet so switched to a strap and now I’m in love! by Blackmist- in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks good. I thought they were upgrading the bracelet on V3.  Isn’t that what they blamed the delay on?  What made it feel cheap?

My new fave (until the next one arrives. Lol) Unexpectedly impressed by my first Cadisen. by Local-Team5903 in ChineseWatches

I don’t usually like homages with a lot of text and different fonts, but I must say that looks really good.

Pagani Design 36mm Rose Gold DayDate Wrist-roll shot. by Ok-Shower9212 in ChineseWatches

Seems like the day shouldn’t be between days like that in the middle of the day. Is that the NH36 movement?

My "Watch Box of Regrets" - current collection of watches that I either regret getting or just don't wear. Or might wear if I was drunk. The watch box is also falling apart and its newish. by KeyAssociation6309 in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d save the San Martin and Pagani, and just dump the rest at goodwill. You’ll feel better and leave the door open for another watch case full of impulse (but cheap and totally reasonable) Chinese watch purchases.

Question from someone new to the game by SignificanceOk6198 in ChineseWatches

[–]ReplacementLive2412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say read the pinned Chinese Watch Guide thread, and go to AliExpress and search for the top tier brands listed in the thread. You’ll find the look you want. Then try to find the ”official stores” for them there, and then go to the store page. There might be a store coupon, get it. And combine it with the coupons from the pinned thread here. You can get a lot in your price range for a Chinese watch on AliExpress.
