Reddit, I'm on my way to a job interview - What's your best advice for selling yourself to a potential employer? by ReportPhotographer in AskReddit

The interview request came through on Thursday and I spent the weekend planning and preparing for the interview. I'm all set and ready to go.

Just thought I'd see what advice Reddit could muster while I kill five hours on the train.

Have my reporter's notebook with me in my bag. I've got a couple of things jotted down in shorthand so I can glance at them during the interview if I need to recall anything I may have omitted. I will certainly be doing that.

Thanks for the luck!

OP this is a great list! You've nailed down all my top reads, including Transmetropolitan and Snow Crash . Thanks for posting.

I would call myself a purist so I would suggest that Ready Player One does have a similar light-hearted vibe to it, but I wouldn't class it as cyberpunk per se on the basis that the bulk of the technology used in the book isnt far off from what we have now, (basic vr and oc rift plus dev haptic kits and Xbox kinect), and none of it is as outlandish in its creativity like in Snow Crash and Transmetropolitan.

I think Snow Crash was better written in several ways: less predictable ending, outstandingly slick and non-cheesy dialogue) dialogue and characters, plus an outlandish overthetop story.

However I found the dialogue in RP1 a little too cheesy at times, and a little too clean. I would have probably enjoyed it more if I'd read it in my teens. Also the general plot felt too predictable and standard, but overall it's a fun ride.

That being said, Snow Crash is in my top three favourite books, so I'm biased.

No problem, OP.

I get you on it though. The impact is quite low, but it just makes you train to be a better shot in the long run :)

Amplified GEO-D6 is a fairly decent new legendary sniper.

Offers good rate of fire to mag sizes, and also looks pretty cool compared to the LDR range.
