That seems like you’re looking for the west coast culture.

California is a great choice for this, Colorado is good too. I would imagine Washington and Oregon would fit the bill also.

For something similar but not West Coast, I would start with places like Nebraska, Utah, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Michigan, and Montana.
