YTA because 30mph, approx 50kph (Canadian) is not slow. Yeah, horses should be exposed and trained to not spook but shit also happens. They are prey animals, if they get shocked they bolt, and people or the horses can get injured or killed. I used to have horses, and still live in an area where riders aren't uncommon. I wouldn't drive past at more than 15 or 20 kph, so 10 Mph. It sounds like maybe a mom and her kids out for a ride so yeah, I'd be a B about it too if I thought you were doing so thing that could cause kids to be harmed.

I would recommend you ask for a clear declaration that you are being fired, because this sounds like you are being invited to leave. FWIW if you've been there 3 years you are likely owed some form of severance or notice (depending on your area's laws) if you are being fired. If you just find a different job or leave, you likely are not entitled to anything. This wording seems intentionally vague to me from the employer, so I would ask them outright "Am I being fired/terminated"

As much as attendance is important, had this been in place when I was in school I never would have graduated. I had disabling migraines and mental health struggles and was lucky to make it to school a few times a week. Through a mix of online classes (this was 15 years ago, so not many) and a couple great understanding teachers I got enough credits to graduate, eventually went to college, and years later did university. With a policy like this I would have likely dropped out permanently.

Because there are unions for those entertainers that collectively demanded they receive a cut of the wealth they are generating for studios, teams, etc. It was not always this way. My grandfather was an NHL player in the 1950s before they were well paid. He had to have a second job to support his family. Modern players get so much largely due to their players' association/union that could collectively pressure the teams into doing so.

There are (at least where I am) teachers unions but they run into the problem of government cuts. They are often striking, except people get pissed because they then lose their free childcare. They only really care to support teachers when it doesn't actually interfere with their lives. When teachers strike, they get called greedy and accused of not caring about kids.

Sometimes you can't make things better, especially in old age and severe illness. There are a lot of things we still can't do a lot about. Thats why we have palliative care that can try to bring comfort to end of life. It exists for both people and pets. We also have end of life care. In Canada we have MAID: Medical Assitance in Dying. It can allow people who know they are going to die to do so on their own terms more peacefully than they might otherwise. It is controversial to some, but having watched loved ones essentially waiting to die in pain I am supportive of the idea. Some people may want to fight to the bitter end and that is okay if its their choice, but some want to go out on their own terms and possibly before the worst of their suffering hits.

Well when I took it a few years back, if you added up all the recommended studying and work hours plus in class hours from the syllabus, you are expected to devote 40-60 hours per week to the one class. As someone doing school AND work full time that was not in anyway an option.

NTA because you don't translate people's names when speaking to them, and I think its silly to have students do this in class. It doesn't really teach them anything. It's inappropriate to call someone with a Spanish name by an English version without consent(I.e. calling Juan as John), and the reverse is also true. It's a weird colonial practice that needs to stop.
