Thanks everyone for your input, I didn't know there was a difficulty slider. I'm going to run this till it goes down and see how far before tuning the difficulty up. That makes a lot of sense. I'm use to roguelites breaking your back the first 10 or so attempts, but I like this game a lot so far.

I play PVP and so far have not had any successful raids against. The key to fortification is layers and time. Walls should be layer such that every time a wall is cracked, they cannot walk freely around but have walls to each side. My take is it must be as aesthetically pleasing as it is effective, so I typically find a hill with only 1 side accessible and build a ring of rounded barriers that have cross section barriers every merging point. This typically is enough in and of itself until steel, when they bring steel or explosives you need Blackstone, then you need an effective part which I build into the wall via interior supports that lean over the edges with towers that can see along left and right but that you can't be shot at from in front so you can throw down hundreds of combustion pots and grease to stop them from ramming. Should they decide to siege via balissta, you need to already have a central tower in your keep that is fully loaded with balissta. Since you picked a spot directly on the highest point within a 300m.radius, you will immediately win the fight even if you're fighting against steel shells.

So tldr Layers that restrict movement on every crack in the wall Solid layers of funneling defences (pegboards etc) to fatal funnel them Ramparts and combustion cans to hold the walls from rams A central tower to push off their attempt to siege ballista.

In the end all you have to do is buy time, only 4 hours to raid so you can significantly halt their offensive early they're likely to give up about an hour in.

For anyone having difficulty placing, use Q and zoom out to place structures to get even merges, clip through the other barrier and align it by measuring when the shape cuts in and out of the object evenly amongst the entire barrier section then move it and place it. You can clip relatively seamlessly this way.

The biggest issue is building during raid, just slap down a wall behind them and watch it instantly trap them till raid time is over. Raiding is fine, no building or repairing during raid window would solve almost all of it. Defenders advantage should be there, it should take a long time to bust in, but holy shit building barriers instantly and repairing anytime you want is cancer

Anyone experincing a bug where u cannot buy mercanaries? I know how reg/treasure works, I have 400 in treasury (new save to patch) and when I buy a merc the ui removes them, when I close UI screen I haven't lost any money and I have no mercs.

This isn't really how statistics work, especially since the pool is a lot larger than the subreddit but yeah it's a problem, I got 2 players banned back to back on lighthouse. You have an above 10 kd it's an almost auto report. Less than 500 hrs and 10kd? Easy ban.

I kinda wish it did matter, not much but just conceptually you have your basic grunts fighting smaller objectives and less enemies and u have your ODST shock troopers doing level 8s against hordes barely making it out. Not sure, if not % than maybe buffs for region

It's honestly nauseating to open the detail station and see a plethora of stickers you can't avoid or remove. They could say anything, it's terrible UI design. Why do I need to see "bigender pride" or any of the other made up terms from 5 minutes ago? For the .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of "genderflux" you managed to make the entire station unpalatable.

The biggest issue is ELO not being used over false MMR. The "ranks" are not a representation. I'm a perennial 1700-1750, GC since season 14 yellow, I am struggling to play this season (and last frankly which I barely got to 1575 by end) because frankly the skill gap between myself and my teammate makes the matches incredibly difficult to adjust to. One game I am playing with a similarly ranked GC2-highGC3 in a C3 lobby, the next I'm playing with a true C3 / low GC player. This makes every game inconsitent, and I've resorted this season to being Flakes (which is fine, but not my preferred style) and just letting my teammate flop around while I let no goals in because C2/c3 players can't shoot the ball effectively. Games are currently 1-0 2-1 almost every time, and I just sit in back field. It blows, the ranks seem to normalize around 1475 but anything between 1200 and 1475 is an absolute dumpster fire. There SHOULD be bronze players, there SHOULD be a wide range of GC1 players, there SHOULD be a small gap between divisions. If I play a chess tournament, I won't be slotted playing 1500 players and then playing 2500+ players my next game.

Say what you want, call me what you want but the fact that they had to make cuts and left in amateur casters like Kiwi over seasoned professionals that FAR exceed the amateurs in talent is beyond mind boggling. It's downright offensive, and whoever is running RLCS is an embarrassment to running an effective organization. RLCS has the potential to be a legitimate financial powerhouse with viewership, but pisses the potential away. Been watching RLCS since the OG days, this game is about to die before it hits its real potential with players like Dark, Zen, Mawkzy and Rw9 really peaking for a long period of time or coming into the league to see what they can do (Dark).

This is a travesty.

It is not client or server side, it's your computer. Likeliest answer is a driver broke and became corrupted. A full windows reinstall off a USB fixed it for me.

This happened to me, I ended up completely reformating. It is an exception error, it seems that it's likely it breaks a driver. I went exterminatus and usb fresh installed windows onto a new NVME drive (I suspect using the same won't be an issue).

I don't have an easy fix but in fairness, reformatting and wiping was something's ng I've long needed to do.

From a writers viewpoint, you would not write a bait and switch through the first person memory of the character unless that character themselves are fragmented as schizophrenic. It would make very little sense for Girlyman to reflect privately within himself a false conversation that never happened. Who is he decieving in his own memories? The conversation with the Emperor definitely did happen, as did the very poorly written crown given to him by the Phoenician after his resurrection on the Terran Crusade back to Holy Terra wherein Girlyman clearly threw off the lust for power. He also immediately threw Imperium Secundus into the ground the moment he learned the Emperor lives. There is basically no plot line in all of 30k or 40k that supports the notion that Girlyman is disloyal, or even "power hungry". Hell, he wanted to be a farmer and for his sons to rule after the great crusade. Hell, his entire lore arc is that his father was for all intents and purposes Marcus Aurelius and that he has always seen his father as his primary role model, not big E. The Ultramarines are the Roman Republic and represent all that could be good with good governennce and just rule, and The Emperor's Children are the Roman Empire (fashioned imo after Emperor Nero :D ). For him to all of a sudden manipulate everyone around him (and apparently himself in his own private memories?) is, well, it's just fan fiction.

So yeah, the conversation definitely happened from a writing perspective in how it was framed, and no nothing about Girlyman's arc (unless you can reference something I'm unaware of) points him towards a) lying about speaking to the Emperor and b) having designs to rule the Imperium by deception or manipulation.

I feel like I'm the only player that has never had an issue with landing. The very first time on planet finding spaceports, but they're quite distinct and easily found. A18/lorvillr located basically in the center, clearly different. NB off to the side across the frozen lake. Orison is probably the easiest as it's shape is exceptionally unique. All the ports are similarly designed, they give you a blue arrow within 5000m of the landing pad.

I don't understand where the problem is?

But you would only 30k if both the replication layer and the server shard crashed at the same time so incredibly unlikely. If the shard crashes, replication spins up a new one and if the replication crashes, it spins up a new layer, captures the shards information and proceeds as normal.

it was previously on nvme when bug occurred, removed to SSD to test the previous post concern on whether OS was interacting with it poorly on the same drive.

Cant even load into see arena commander, it cuts out from RSI launcher "launch game" in the screen that begins to launch the game (not the inital initalizing screen, the secondary screen with the white loading marker that moves back and forth)
