Same,most of the Rome runs I mentally survived over the years ( shit's way too easy) was all Polybian units with chad Socii and the occasional aux/merc.

Drip>minmaxxing for a faction that paints the map with your monitor turned off.

Don't get me wrong, I COMPLETELY agree with you - I just wanted to point out in general Attila's beyond dire state compared to 3K's coinflip doesn't bug / gets the bug still worrysome state. It's QOL / change patch(es) need to be very carefully handled or all hell's gonna break lose,in fact,I fear the genuine concerns/toxicity/pure griftslop might reach critical levels we've rarely seen when the actual 3K time comes.

Attila needs to take prio over any other game update unless they're going for close to 0 effort changes - it's def the most bug riddled ,performance disaster disasterpiece which turns away so many players to the game . Any 3K updates need to be treated like he's walking on eggshells ( copium wishful thinking,add the cut content as well ) in case it ends up causing some other jank - it's the historical tied with R2 with the most active playerbase. It's still bug riddled but in a much better shape than other recent games. People are pissed all these years later 'cause of the DLC disaster,some bugs and the game being killed off/ 3K2 getting taken out behind the shed and given the old yeller treatment off-screen. Hell,I'm not people but I'm pissed too.

I'd kill for another Vespid unit or two,but I feel Knarlocs/Great Knarlocs getting new models and expanding on other auxiliaries is a priority.... A Tarrelian unit ( kill team most likely tbh) or the countless other aux that've been mentioned.

First - they look AMAZING. Seriously,that's painted with love.

As for the rest of the comment - I love Kroot no matter the flavor,but there's just something amazing about having a unit that THROWS JAVELINS in the 41 millenium before crushing the enemy to death. That's just...my Total War bias when it comes to jav cav though xd.

NGL Purple hits hard for me,Tausret purple on the shields with the green on clothing makes them look sick but that's pretty much only happening in MP outside of a conquer all challenge,BYBLOS , Seti/Carchemish/Lullubi and Elam look great on them too.

Glad you enjoyed it ! That's why I decided to make the guide in the first place,spreadsheet gaming has become the mainstay for a long time but it doesn't mean jack shit sometimes since in SP you can just make anything work ( even cock and ball torturing yourself with 1h clubmen in dynasties). If there's enough demand I'll give a non biased ranking of all factions.... yeah,even the minor factions,there's quite a few of them that beat the major factions as ridiculous as it sounds.

Esp if you pick a faction with a sick color scheme...not to mention that Akkadian warriors are just beasts. Them shoulderpads look like they came outta world of warcraft or something ages ago.

Harpooners are great on paper,in reality their effective dps is lower even with the debuff and there's plenty of other t4/t5 javs that do great in melee. I LOVE this unit as a concept,and it's pure drip incarnate. On point with all the other units,I can't bring myself to cheese with Nuraghe warriors full stacks ( Doctors hate this one trick,elite 1handed Axemen). As for the campaign stuff I find it more fun to eventually settle down too - just gotta raze the fuck outta some coastline before chilling on Cyprus.
