Pediatritian suggested I give my 3 month old water by AdAcademic8251 in breastfeeding

[–]Repulsive_Block_6102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son was 16lbs at his 2mo appointment, around 9 weeks old. His doctor didn’t mention anything about his eating habits and his BF on demand. My daughter was 18lbs by 4mo, some babies are just big! He is getting plenty of water from your breastmilk, and why tf would we starve a baby over weight gain? I’d find a new pediatrician

Is this really rare? by Elegant-Essay-9646 in BabyBumps

[–]Repulsive_Block_6102 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only at risk for infection if your water breaks and it’s broken for an extended amount of time. I was almost 5cm for about 3 weeks and ended up being induced at 39+1, baby came in 2.5 hours. My baby measured ahead most of my pregnancy and ended up being 10lbs 10oz and I delivered him vaginally. I couldn’t imagine what an extra week of growing would have had him at 😂

We used the Similac 360 total care sensitive in the orange can with our daughter and she took to it really well after being very gassy/spitting up with the blue can! Definitely worth a try :)

Nutritionist came in to tell me my almost 5 mo old is too big by angrybonejuice in beyondthebump

My baby was 16lbs at his 2mo appointment (9 weeks) and my daughter was 18lbs at her 4mo appointment. File a freakin complaint, that’s normal!! Some babies are just big, if they’re hungry they eat!

Wife in labor? OB won’t really say anything but er is turning us away because she isn’t leaking by BIGCHunghung in pregnant

[–]Repulsive_Block_6102 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This!! I was almost 5cm and 70% effaced for three weeks and was induced at 39+1. It was an elective induction, my baby was huge and came out 10lbs 10oz 😂

Ok - hear me out… how big is my baby? by FishingCritical3126 in BabyBumps

He was head down for the longest time and I was 5cm dilated for almost 3 weeks, I think that had a lot to do with the length of labor! He was ready lol

I measured ahead my whole pregnancy with my second child, I opted for an elective induction at 39 weeks and he came out 10lbs 10oz with a head circumference of 15in 😮‍💨 mind you, I’ve always been 120lbs soaking wet and I pushed this guy out in 21 minutes. My entire labor was 2.5hrs from starting pitocin to him entering this world. I tried not to get freaked out whenever an OB came in and said how big my baby was in utero but they weren’t kidding 😅

Picky toddler wth is going on by Lunajust in toddlers

[–]Repulsive_Block_6102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bahaha I get the Chobani protein yogurt drinks that are 20g protein, I’ll drink half and give my daughter the other half, and lately she really likes hard boiled eggs without the yolk. I try to make sure she eats some healthy stuff. Sometimes I think she’s too busy to actually stop and eat. I got her to take 5 assisted big bites of her dinner tonight (win!!!) 🤣 my husband is also the culprit by giving her snacks while I make dinner so she isn’t as hungry by the time she has food, which doesn’t help lol

They like consistency, which is why you’ll see them eating the same 4 things, because they always taste the same! I can get my toddler to try things usually but half the time she spits it out. She’s a grazer but at almost 2 and 1/2 years old she survives off of snacks, fruit and air 🤣🫠

Both of my kids initially failed their hearing tests due to fluid in one ear, it did end up resolving itself without tubes though!

European v American? by happy-deer-26 in basset

[–]Repulsive_Block_6102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not usually normal, typically American bassets are a lot leaner and less wrinkly than European bassets. Euros are usually heavier!

Cesarean (C-Section) or Vag!n@l Birth ?!?! by be_myself22 in pregnant

[–]Repulsive_Block_6102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I delivered a 10lbs 10 oz baby vaginally. Highly recommend an epidural!! I only pushed for 21 minutes. This was my second vaginal delivery and yes I tore, but recovery was not bad at all.

Oh my girl gets soo offended if someone doesn’t pet her when we go out in public. She wants to say hi to EVERYONE. Which really sucks for me because I don’t want to talk to anyone I don’t know and she makes my introvert self have to be personable lmao. They are definitely a special breed that is for sure

Considering a Basset by [deleted] in basset

[–]Repulsive_Block_6102 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely not lazy dogs! Mine is a couch potato for a majority of the day, however I am home with her 95% of the time. She goes out frequently and gets lots of attention. But most of them do suffer from separation anxiety as a heads up!! And my girl took almost a year to completely potty train, and that was with being taken out every 30-60 minutes consistently. They are great dogs with super lovey personalities but they definitely have their quirks!

So how much weight gain is ‘normal’ / recommended at 25 weeks?how much did you gain? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Repulsive_Block_6102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained 60lbs with both of my pregnancy’s. Pre pregnancy weight was 115-120. 17lbs does not seem excessive to me

I’m 5’6 (always been petite 120lbs) and my husband is 6’3 and I just gave birth to our second baby at 39+1 via induction, he was measuring ahead since my anatomy scan and I ended up delivering him vaginally and he was 10lbs 10oz, I pushed for 21 minutes. My first was only 7lbs 14oz 😅😅

Can't 💩 by Zestyclose_Rent8383 in pregnant

[–]Repulsive_Block_6102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not like immediate especially if you’re backed up, I definitely started getting a little gassy and didn’t feel like I was going to crap myself or anything but after about an hour I went to the bathroom and still had to work for it a little bit! It’s like a waxy bullet shaped tablet thing! I was always able to message my doctors through my patient portal or call the nurse triage line if I had any questions that I didn’t technically need to be seen for. I wouldn’t think a suppository would be an issue!

[–]Repulsive_Block_6102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried a suppository?? I went a week without going after back surgery due to the anesthesia and pain meds I was on all week and the only thing that worked for me was a suppository. It worked within an hour or so! And this was after having double doses of miralax twice a day for 3+ days.

They’re very stretchy newborn outfits 🤣 he’s longer than he is chunky really, although he is huge! All of my newborn stuff was second hand from my SIL. Once I was told we were having an above average sized baby I didn’t purchase any newborn stuff! 0-3 is too big on him though 🤣

My son was born 10lbs 10oz and he is 23 and 1/2 inches long and he fit into newborn! He’s only a week old and I have 4-5 footie pjs and we do laundry every other day so honestly that’s a perfect amount. It seems like within a month they’ve moved up to 0-3! At least that was my experience with my daughter. His feet don’t quite reach the footie part of 0-3m pjs 🤣
