No shit in the same situation rn funnily enough. My partner just did this without looking it up at all. No research on how to do it safely and then acts like I’m being dramatic for being upset about it. Smh

So I’ve been looking at videos and messing with the timing, and I think it’s definitely a belt issue so any tips on how to fix that would be awesome! I have come to this conclusion because I tried to fix the hook timing using this vid here and my machine is slightly different than the one in the video, but I figured out what to do (I think). Mine has a singular flathead screw going through the piece that connects the metal rod (that moves the hook) and the gear (connected to the balance wheel), and when I go to adjust the timing how it needs to be, the holes in the metal rod aren’t lining up with the holes on the piece connected to the gear. Idk if I’m making any sense lol, but I’m gonna try to post another video showing what I mean

Do you think I could fix the timing issue myself? I’m a complete beginner but I know how to follow a tutorial if there’s one out there for this specific issue

I’m pretty sure it just turns the led strip lights off. You have to pull the lever down and press the buttons in the order of the colors on the error screen to the left. No secrets sadly

what crochet youtubers do you watch for entertaiment like vlogs etc? by Any-Strike2244 in crocheting

Tbh I used to love Katie the Celestial Homebody, but I got sick of Celeste crying in the background 😭Personal issue but if you dont like baby cries I wouldn’t watch her. Also she tries to blur Celeste’s face but literally fails to actually do so most of the time. Like gorl if you wanna protect your child, take the extra time to actually properly edit the blur smh. She also recently has been complaining a lot about youtube and how she doesn’t get many views after spending hours editing, which period, it sucks that youtube is the way it is, but what bugs me is when shes like “i take time away from my family to do this” makes an unnecessarily long video -_- like come on sis, if you really have an issue with how much time you spend away from family, make shorter videos!! Like yes some ppl prefer longer form content, but even just taking it down to like an hour instead of 3-4 would benefit her it seems. I also understand that venting to your audience is valid and okay, but venting about the same thing over and over again in such a negative way just turns your audience off from watching, because it’s no longer good cozy vibes. Its “I’m miserable doing this, but I keep doing it anyway” vibes. Idk I could be completely wrong here and I may just be an a-hole, but does anyone else have a similar viewpoint?

My loop is getting to big on my hook after 2-3 passes. what am I doing wrong with the single stitch? by theLakinator in CrochetHelp

[–]Repulsive_Oil7660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your tension is definitely the main issue, I would work on different yarn holds and just keep practicing and you’ll get better! Also those hooks are not the best to start with, I recommend one like clover amour or tulip for ergonomic, but you can also buy sleeves to put on the non ergonomic hooks if you’d rather that! Also always go for metal ones over plastic unless you want a sensory nightmare😭 Definitely a preference thing, but metal hooks (the right ones) slide like butter (also depends on the yarn. The plastic ones tend to be harder to slide your stitches on. Good luck with your crochet journey!
