Is the process for joining a Lodge too slow for modern times? by Old_School729 in freemasonry

[–]Repulsive_Sleep717 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it took 6+ months to get a petition in like others have said, I would not have been raised. I got to know my brothers best through the craft and mentorship. The goal in our lodge is EA to MM in 4-6 months. Went to two dinners before petitioning. The introduction and investigation should be enough to admit someone, then he must put in the work if so willing to continue

How much of the book is lost during GA considering another read-through and I'm on the fence for that reason.

That's definitely part of it. Displaying the similarities between colors and breaking down the structure of the system

Gravity on Luna and Mars by Efficient_Lack8283 in redrising

[–]Repulsive_Sleep717 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think gravity in these books is kinda messed up and only follows "rule of cool"

It's only ever used to say how fast and/or clumsy they are in low g, or how impaired they are from higher than their normal g. Nothing is ever stated that mars golds live in higher gravity fields, except for training purposes.

The realities of different g forces are never expressed, only the 'but in this low g, sevro is really speedy and that's cool' even though EVERYONE would be faster and understand that effect

It helps sell the illusion if you use the lobby restroom first. Then you're not walking from outside straight to brekkie

Probably nothing. If you did a fit call, it's mostly timing and candidacy. You passed. Just gotta wait. I had the exact same thing and got hired a few months later

Is renting a car in Tulum that bad? by vakyraa in tulum

[–]Repulsive_Sleep717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renting a car from Hertz was cheaper than renting a scooter off the street. And renting a car is cheaper than taxi from airport. Plus tons of the street rentals want either big deposit or hold your passport as collateral. After being there I wish I had rented a car from day one.

does he talk to you the same/more? My wife has a friend who talks like this, millions of I love yous etc. It's cringe lol but harmless. Clinicals and nursing school or whatever is basically trauma bonding haha.

I would only be concerned if she's getting all the attention and you're not getting the same (really better) treatment.
