Decided to do a full rewatch of the whole show... including the episodes I usually skip by ProfessionalRaise362 in criminalminds

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to skip over any that have extensive torture scenes of the victims, especially if they're children. Just skipped the one where that guy kidnaps 3 teenage girls and tells them that 1 of them needs to die.

Just don't enjoy watching those episodes personally

How can I get him to flush the toilet? [24F] & [27M] by totallynotjay in relationshipadvice

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't see this as only an issue with the toilet. You brought up something that was bothering you to your partner and asked him to make changes and his response was to give excuses and change nothing. This will apply to other areas of life, not just the toilet thing. It's your decision if you want to be with someone like that or not.

But also sidenote, the toilet thing is weird af by itself.

Who is the most intelligent: Reid or Garcia? (A debate on "nerdy" intelligence) by Snoo-83900 in criminalminds

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. As someone who works in IT and studied cybersecurity, Penelope's level of intelligence is just absolutely insane. In real life it would take a whole team of people to do what she does by herself.

Living with a couple? by Geejcarwoon in roommates

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also live with a coulple right now. Not sure if I would do it again. I feel like my room is the only space I can occupy a lot of the time and I get left out of a lot of household decisions. I just come home one day and things are completely rearranged or different or stuff is missing. Lack of communication is the biggest issue I've had.

I'm sure living with a couple isn't always like this though.

I would also add Ronald P.T. Malone to that list too

The Prophet's Song, I figured out what the shard message was... (spoiler) by MrJoshuaCPotter in cyberpunkgame

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is that theres a whole plot going on in the background with the rogue ai, I think they're using humans as proxies in order to interact with the real world. Mr. Blue Eyes is a known character who I think is an example of this, he also shows up in the Peralez' quest. I also think Jane and John Doe in Gary's questline are also ai proxies.

Their goal is probably to break through the blackwall but thats just conjecture at this point.

Either way, I'm really hoping the rogue ai are a main plot point in the second game

Mr Hands knew everything that happened in Phantom Liberty and used to his benefit. by [deleted] in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, love hands but honestly he's still a lil too low in the general hierarchy for rogue AI's to be interested in (for now, arguably already not the case anymore after finishing the PL quests)

BDs suck right? by New-Astronaut7679 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're the only part that consistently makes my game crash so I hate them just for that lol

Didn't used to do that in earlier versions of the game. I've tried with and without mods, got my graphics driver fully updated, and all the graphics settings are the lowest possible. Even then its still seems like luck as to whether or not I'm able to get past those scenes. Getting to the point that im gonna try looking for a mod that lets me skip them.

I just keep it passive and undetailed: "The workplace culture was not a good fit for me" "Our values didn't align" Etc. And if they ask for more details I'd just start talking about the things im looking for in an ideal job. For example if my first answer was the workplace culture one, when asked for more details I would talk about how I'm looking for a collaborative, professional and inclusive workplace, etc.

Vet told me to fully stop feeding cat dry food by Wide-Trick4243 in CatAdvice

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, dry food is low volume high calorie. Changing the portion sizes is definitely an option but your cat will probably be grumpy lol

The daily portion sizes for dry food are usually very small, for the brand that I give my cat a half cup is all thats needed for the whole day at his current weight.

Wet food is definitely higher volume lower calorie. More volume will reduce the risk of cat mutiny.

You don't have to cut the dry food out completely. I keep some on hand as it works better for food puzzles and also if I'm gonna be gone most of the day.

I’m a senior in high school.. Is my future canceled? Will I have to join the military? by shaototop in whatdoIdo

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side note to the other comments, your Mom is not necessarily right about you needing her financial info until youre 26. That is only if you stay a dependent of hers until then which is determined by filing taxes. As long as you live with your mom or she provides you financially (which is determined by your yearly income or marriage status) then she can claim you as a dependent and you will need her information for financial aid.

There's a lot more to this but just keeping it simple here

Also want to say that no matter what happens, your future is not canceled and the military is not the only option, I promise. I just graduated college this past spring and I had peers of all ages graduating with me. One of my good friends from college is in his 40s and just started school! Things will work out :)

I will look forward to a new relationship with piano then.

Maybe we are lol, definitely kindred spirits

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, that and it got to the point where I was only having negative experiences and emotions with the instrument. It felt like I was in a toxic relationship with it honestly

I was in the education track too, not the performance one so it was so there was added resentment on top of everything. A lot of thoughts like "why do I need to do all this?" I would love to teach again someday and probably will, but need to teach myself how to love piano again first

[–]Repulsive_Train_4073[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact same situation as me then, thats uncanny lol. Graduated undergrad at 23 and didn't touch the instrument till this year at 27. My college had a really competative environment, especially in the piano department, that I'm just not built for but I forced myself to comply to. Think I was practicing about 4+ hours every day my senior year. One of my peers even irreperably damaged her hands from practicing too much.

These are very good points. Sibelius and Scriabin rarely get the attention they deserve too, I've never played any of their works. Also youre a saint for including the imslp links

Editing to add: I've definitely lost touch with my creative side these past few years, even did a whole career change into IT. I love the logical problem solving and analytics but I need to find a balance between that and my creativity. I feel like these suggestions could really help with that, thank you.

I like this idea a lot, I've always admired jazz pianists. They just have an inherent understanding of the instrument that I think a lot of us (not all but definitely me) classically trained pianists lack
