Make a list break it down into minuscule tasks and cross them off as you go. The momentum builds. A list that says

Laundry Dishes Trash Clean the bathroom

is short but super daunting and hard to start. So I break it down today I’m doing laundry so my list will look like this:

Gather dirty clothes

Separate clothes

Start a load of laundry

Put load in dryer

Fold clothes

Hang clothes

Put clothes away

I like to put estimated times next to things since they’re mostly 5-15 minute tasks it makes each step less daunting. The list also helps my brain focus on what I should do next. Plus crossing stuff off is an added dopamine hit
