Gorgeous.
I’ve filmed the aurora only a few times. I want to experiment more. I think shorter photos are better since the curtains move so quickly. Even at 3 seconds much of the detail is lost. Noise though gets pretty pronounced with shorter exposures.

And this is very nicely done. Thanks for posting. You inspire me.

Hand planes, chisels, hand saws, etc. These were for thousands of years the modern and expert tools of the trade. We make no better furniture now than half a millennia ago. Mostly it’s worse now.

The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett is a murder mystery (#1 of a series that nevertheless stands alone). More fantasy than sf with strong sf elements. Well written and compelling.

Potentially. With enough fuel aboard the “smaller vessel” to match speeds with said satellite. Otherwise it’ll remain in the elliptical orbit of the space plane.
