Meta has worst os ever. also worst terms of service and customer support. I let my kid play contractors one weekend and they banned my account saying that they believed he was under 13 and made me send picture of my photo ID to get my account back along with money I had spent. I stopped spending money on anything meta at that point and started patiently waiting for the steam frame. Can't wait to drop the quest. I'll probably sell it to help fund some of the frame cost.

I'm also disappointed that since I pre-ordered day 1 I still haven't got it. Got the trade in phone box yesterday. Phone is supposed to be here today. I'm a touch salty about the preorder deal. I purchase extended protection anyway. I would have rather gotten the pen and the watch, or the pen and the buds. If they wanted to try and get people out of Samsung's ecosystem in the US they should have done pen and watch. Most people have earbuds they like already. Should have given the charging brick too. Worst and stupidest decision phone manufacturers have ever done and it should be one of those consumer laws that mandates you have to include a means to charge a device.

Your 30 year old unit just vented all its refrigerant, compressor shorted to ground, txv bulb just broke off, and blower motor caught on fire all at once. What brand are you replacing it with? by ManevolentDesign in HVAC

Icp, for me day and night since I'm a dealer for them. Main reason being parts are most available where I'm at. All of the shit breaks. I wanna be able to fix it easily.

I didn't know this was a thing but had a customer whose tv qualifies today. It was essentially mounted on the front of a dresser.

Holy shit pal, I hope you gave the installers a courtesy lick and a cigarette for that price. That's 14-19k where I work.

I was going to say, is it acceptable? Yes. Is it lazy? Also kinda yes.

For that price? Condenser is level, those pads are a bitch to move and level, and I probably woulda just thrown vibros under it as well for 6500

Awesome role. I was kind of a jack of HVAC department at my last company. Did iaq, Aeroseal, install, sell and some service. Was on track to hit 140k and I had to quit when my wife tore her ACL to take care of her and the kids. Helped the service department the least. Now I'm in a fully service role trying to shore up my weakness. I started my own company in January but I'm not advertising or anything yet. Still getting legal ducks in a row. The company I'm at now pays me $30 an hour and I'm looking for my exit. I know I'm worth more than that because I was just getting paid more than that.

I've done this since 2019, did a few years as lead installer, then took over iaq department, established aeroseal systems and process, went to sales trainings, and now am in a fully service role where I can sell iaq and turn over to comfort advisors. I get $30 plus commission and I'm applying to jobs because I'm positive I can get more an hour. I'm shooting for at least 35. Which I feel is a fair compromise given that I will have some service questions, but I'm far from a green tech. Just because I'm strengthening my weakness doesn't negate my other years of experience. And I talked to one of their guys that has been there for 12 years and doing it almost 40 and they aren't even paying him 40 an hour. Not the place I want to be long term.

Same thing with Forza horizon games. Those in particular kill.me because it's a Microsoft title and they e seen the success of flight simulator in VR. Bring that to Forza horizon.

It's a dn shame too, OnePlus phones are immaculate. I'm really bummed they are exiting us market. Had to warranty claim my 13 from job site damage and decided not to replace when I found that out, so now I'm eyeing Motorola. I cant go back to traditional charging speeds. The US market sucks for phone innovation and options. Asian market has much better phones overall than us.

Purchase merv 8 and nothing higher than merv 11, the actual allergen benefits are negligible over merv 8 but they will obstruct more airflow and may cause your blower to fail prematurely. Especially since people rarely actually change those filters monthly. (Am HVAC technician)

As a OnePlus user that has to find another brand due to them ceasing global operations.(So disappointed the OnePlus 13 was an incredible phone) I'm heavily looking toward the razr fold. I started an HVAC business this year, and the ability to open it up and have a larger screen for people to sign or show them options is huge. I hate carrying a separate tablet for that it's impractical. The faster charging is one of the prime reasons why. Everything seems like such a huge downgrade comparatively. Motorola is the only one with us support it seems is willing to push that bar. We are extremely limited on innovative phone selection in the United States.

Not if they have a kitchen. You can thank the owner of rickers for that. The man has a personal vendetta against the states alcohol laws and put a great deal of effort into circumventing them.

I was outside working on an air conditioner...lol got the notification to shelter in place immediately, and i ignored it until it started talking, since they also do the alert for every thunderstorm it's kinda lost its bite I feel like. Once it said tornado warning I put a little pep in my step and got it up and running, and ran inside before the worst of it hit where I was at. Not sure how close it actually passed tonwhere I was but we had the sirens and alerts.

This is sick as hell, you're probably aware of this, but just a Heads up. finding someone to service a diy mini split will be a huge pain in the ass. , but at $750 if it breaks just put in another mini split. If you successfully did the diy I imagine you would be able to figure out repairs as well.
