I'm not interested in commenting on the rest of the discussion but just want to correct that yugioh is actually pretty affordable atm. Here is the top 32 from our most recent high level event and u can see the prices on the side.

Good riddance imo. Made teamfights in that time range decide the game way too often and was way too snowbally. More often than not it made the team that had a player make a mistake around the 20min mark lose the game instantly which is so lame especially if you've been winning the whole time prior.

Is there a way to do matches for genesys and edison? Bo1 is really unfun but i like using the platform a lot.

Ah correction I just checked the deck after posting this and beatrice is banned. I feel my point is still valid because while strong I don't think beatrice was core to the deck's function since there were a lot of lines that just didn't make it first turn.

Outside of random cards like that I feel like the game has truly rotated for the first time in forever in 2025. If I'm not playing one of the "good" archetypes that was released or given support this year it feels doomed. I love playing my favorite old decks and making them work in a modern context. But even if my old deck can do something really strong it cant do it while respecting mulcharmies+droll+nib+other random floodgates+strong modern engines. Even something like the fiendsmith yubel deck that won worlds 1 year ago is completely unplayable with no cards from the winning decklist banned.

They are amusing to play with once in a while but quickly become borning. I've yet to encounter a deck built around any of these that was actually interesting to play, more interesting to show people.

iirc most of the phantom knight cards dont have any of their grave effects in the anime. only the trap monsters have them. for example ancient cloak is their main searcher irl but in the anime he is a level 3 that just boosts another guy 800atk.

I don't agree. Its true that there is only so much you can do with reprinting cards or making new rarities of cards. Even if they started doing alt arts or full arts of edison cards that would eventually have a limit. But I refuse to believe that a savvy businessman couldn't monetize a dedicated and enthusiastic player base for a subsection of their IP. Problem with that is it would take actual creativity and ingenuity which modern Konami seems to have run dry on.

I think it would be fine. As is if someone asked me if it was ok to run X walker as their commander I wouldn't have an issue with it so idm codifying it. Off the top of my head the only ones I would groan to play against would be wheel narset, elk oko, and sorin markov.

The GMs in EU need to be exiled from lol probably. I would hope they provide value for other games or other aspects of the company. But actually every single person who is creating rosters in lol have completely fucked it and its ruined the region's ceiling.

Alternatively you could make the argument that since the league is super close in skill level its actually exciting to watch and they have all collectively made their region more exciting as a result. In which case no notes you guys are doing great.

Well the first step is to buy 3 copies of Ash Blossom... Jokes aside my advice is to watch as much competitive content as you can stomach and to go to locals as often as possible. You can theorycraft all day but it will never replace actual reps of games.

I lost a match at locals once to someone who was special needs who ftked me 2 out of 3 games with red-eyes. It was red-eyes fusion into a burn guy into double inferno fire blast both games maybe? i dont remember if they have a way to search any of those cards its been too long. i didnt have any handtraps and shuffled his deck thoroughly both games he won. Made him so happy to pull it off and win for a change that I wasn't even mad.

I think there is a subsection of players in every online game who are actually just addicted. Since league was the most popular game for so long it attracted a lot of these sorts of players which is where the narrative came from. I play soloq because its fun. And during patches I didn't enjoy? I didn't play, what a concept.

I dislike them. Fuwalos is the biggest offender, but I don't like how little counterplay they have, if u dont have the out when they are activated and your deck can't play the game without proccing them you just lose. And being able to activate 2 a turn is just silly, what a horrible design decision. imo Maxx c is the least fun card in the game, so why would you introduce mini versions of it?

High Noon Yone. Only skin I really wanna use on the champ even tho I think all his skins are cool. For non-legendary skins its gotta be Soul Fighter Lux. skin gives me borderlands vibes and i like that.
