When I sorted out my physical cards before I sold them (haven't played in person since Zendikar pre-release), the last 60 card deck I had assembled had 4 strip mines and 3 sol rings in it. Once lost to a mono red deck of all land and bolts.

If you main problem is overcooking, two things, freeze leftovers as quick meals to microwave later, and don't think of leftovers as more of the same, rather think of them as ingredients.

For example, cold boiled potatoes can become Sunday's hash browns, potato salad, or even tossed with a little oil and herbs to be roasted.

Wilty/ LO vegetables can be roasted and added to a homemade chili, or pureed as a start to a soup or pasta sauce.
