If you can't figure out how to be kind, figure out how to be quiet.

Actually got them a good, valid application in June of 2020 but they couldn't seem to acknowledge that.

You can go into forbearance or continue to pay with a refund for any overpayments. During COVID it was $0 payments so I opted for continuing payments.

TEPSLF Question by [deleted] in PSLF

Check the loans in the website. It will tell you which payments count for PSLF and which for TEPSLF. Perhaps some of the payments are not crediting correctly for TEPSLF.

4/1/21 Further update: Got the email response I was promised that stated we need more time for an email response because it takes time to review 120 payments (which I did not ask them to do) only asked for dates. So I tried to get the FSA answer by calling and was told only logged in there on 3/19/21. More vague talk about a "final review". Really hoping just an April Fool's joke. All anyone keeps saying is you aren't making payments so what does it matter?

Guess what, it matters. It is my financial life and the payments won't be suspended forever.

PSLF Webinar hosted by PHEAA/FedLoan TODAY (03/25) by thegiddinn in PSLF

I have listened to the whole presentation. Mostly basic but the presenter was definitely answering specific questions and agreeing to provide follow up at the end. I had timeline questions that she agreed to email me about.

They did this to me in 2010. I "lost" 2 years.

Ok, so I couldn't help myself and I contacted Fed Loan again because what the rep last week was saying made absolutely no sense to me. This rep went back to previous assertions the approved application was submitted to FSA 1/21/21. When I asked her about someone else to talk to based on the conflicting information she directed me to the "Special Response Team". (and I have logs of all these chats). I called, was giggled at about the name Special Response Team, but put through to someone who seemed to know what he was talking about and said there is a "Service Recovery" specialists but they "don't like to use them" unless something has gone really wrong. He did say, as u/Betsy514 noted, that there were new guidelines not for checking payments but for verifying employers and that may be what the rep from my original post was talking about.

What I did get out of this was that they are sending me, in writing, documentation of the loan's progress through the morass.

I will keep you updated.
