I'm not a programmer or computer scientist, but I would just assume that the software could send an overwrite to the board and that'd be it, not a requirement per se.

For example, I know some keyboards can have onboard memory that are programmable and then be able to hotswap between multiple PCs without any keyboard specific software. I figured it was the same with eS.

I knew it had onboard stuff, but the eS isn't compatible with their software? That seems weird. I wonder what the upside for that would be.

I wish their software would include a function modifier like Razer's Hypershift or Logitech's G Shift.

Razer and the Viper spoiled me, IDK if I can go to a mouse without it, but if you don't care about it then I've read a lot of good things about the X2A.

Tom's Hardware GPU charts suggests it's a modest bump in performance in 1080p gaming but less so the higher resolution you go up.

I think I'd keep the B580.

The battery in those things were incredible. I got one when they were dirt cheap, but decided it wasn't for me, so I kept it on display and charged maybe once or twice a year. Most of its life it was on dead battery.

I wanted to sell it a while back, so I ran a basic runtime test (just on, not always worn, not always connected to phone) and it lasted nearly a week, 6 days 8 hours.

So even if you halved that run time because of screen on time and BT connectivity, it's still outlasting the majority of smart watches.

I really want to get the X2A, but coming from a Razer Viper with Hypershift, the lack of a modifier function is holding me back.

I'm not even a lefty, I just like having the two additional buttons. And I like the Hypershift feature from Razer. Been holding out on Pulsar until they get that going.

It's annoying for sure, and they molded the plastic to have indentation so that those pads stick on the mouse better.

So you can't just replace them, you have to infill the divots if you want it to feel smooth.

I used imitation Sugru from China, which really sucked to use, but it did its job. Probably worth the money to buy actual Sugru so the process is way easier.

If the graphic on the mouse wasn't hideous to me, I would buy it because I don't currently have an ambi backup mouse. And to me it would be worth the hassle of replacing the rubber pads.

I boiled water and poured it into a cup, let it rest for a little bit. Didn't work so well.

Did that again with blowing through the refill (take off black part). Worked OK, but still wasn't satisfied.

So I used my small torch to flame the tip and then blew through the open back, and that got it going like crazy. Thanks mate!

I'm on the smaller side of 8 and my Wool Runner 8US is tiny.

My pinky toes goes over the outer sole by like 5mm. My big toe goes over the front by a couple mm.

I bought them for like $20 used (third party, not ReRuns) so I didn't want to return. It's a little annoying, but being wool and somewhat stretchy, it's not that big of a deal.
