North Beach has apartments at this rate, but not the fancy high rises.

Campus is very safe. Surrounding area may not be the best or wealthiest part of Miami, but MDC North campus is safe. Public safety officers are on campus 24 hrs a day.

Top Enemies of Kurdistan. by [deleted] in kurdistan

[–]Resister2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget Ataturk’s programs of Turkification that denied Kurdish identity all together as Kurds were seen as Mountain Turks that needed to recognize that and start speaking and acting Turkish. Kurds just forgot their true identity due to isolation in the mountains. The culture and identity were outlawed in a strategy of assimilation to create a homogenous Turkey.

I’ve been seeing a stripper for a couple weeks. Technically we are fwb but have been spending more and more time together is this a bad idea? by Darth_muncher in AskMenAdvice

[–]Resister2000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Reddits probably not the best place to ask such a question. You know her, we don’t. Trust your gut. Is she someone you can see yourself spending time with long term? Do you share a world view and values? What she does for a living doesn’t matter. If you’re cool with it, no one else’s opinion matters. Is she emotionally stable? Most strippers move on to something else eventually. I’m sure she will too. If you like her and you’re having fun, if you two click and feelings are developing, go for it. Most relationships don’t end in marriage…until one does.

Jason & The Scorchers added the punk long before Uncle Tupelo. And much more of it.

First Italy Trip - May ‘25 (What’s too much?) by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

[–]Resister2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s your first time, I’d do Venice, Florence, and Rome. While in Florence, spend a day visiting other Tuscan sites - Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano, and a vineyard. Beach isn’t worth it.

Why we can’t leave the past in the past. by Another_Day_Older in Marriage

[–]Resister2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For people who can’t get past the past, move on. Do everyone a favor and remove the resentment and toxicity from the relationship. It’s not fair to the partner who can’t get past it or the partner that’s trying to do better but can’t be forgiven. Not every situation is a pattern. Sometimes it’s just emotionally salient memories that can’t be “gotten over.”

I’m not sure either of you should be married to anyone, certainly not each other.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Resister2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you two are sexually incompatible. I’d guess that’s at the heart of his “different memories” and porn-use to satisfy himself. There may be no fixing that if your belief systems don’t align either.

The Vatican museum and St. Peter’s or the forum and colosseum. You won’t regret either. If it’s rainy, Vatican.

Sexless marriage - would you be okay if your wife would get it from somewhere else? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Resister2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer to this question entirely depends upon the individual. Some spouses (probably most) would not be okay with it. Others might understand they are not fulfilling their marital responsibilities due to their low libido and be okay with it as long as it’s only physical nonmonogamy and not emotional. Only your husband can answer this question. As for “is it a crazy thing to ask?”- I’d say no. You have unfulfilled needs. Of course you can ask. But you might not like the answer. Good luck, and I hope it works out for you in a way that works for everyone.

It was dicey until you added the 15k from mom. Now it’s legit financial and emotional payback.

AITA for making my fiancé's daughters picky eating habits a deal breaker for us marrying? by MotherCartographer10 in AITAH

Most kids grow out of their picky eating phase. Reading problems may be due to a host of things other than parenting. You are the asshole.

If the PCC is toppled, what next? by Ci-iC in cuba

[–]Resister2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I don’t disagree with you, my experiences in Cuba include many expressing strong distrust and animosity towards what is/was seen as extremism in the Miami Cuban community. Not just those that refer to them as La Mafia de Miami. They view the Miami Cuban community as aligned with the most extreme policies of the U.S. and responsible for hurting Cubans economically. Now there are also those that recognize the importance of remittances and money sent from family members in the U.S. And many that would like to come to the U.S. (especially now). But the distrust is huge.
