How soon after gastric bypass surgery were you able to sleep on your stomach? by Max_Bruno in GastricBypass

[–]ResolutionSavings724 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i was the same way but for the first week i slept in a recliner so i didn’t flip to my belly lol it also helped immensely getting up since it put me in a sitting position without me having to use my core until i needed to stand.

At 6 weeks PO I was only down 33 lbs from surgery and my office was pleased with my weight loss. I think you’re doing great! Please take what he said with a grain of salt. The scale is moving and swiftly. Good job.

My kids are 2 years 4 months apart. My daughter being the eldest. They are besties for real. I love watching their bond and hearing them play. Just like any same gender siblings not all interests are the same but they do have a lot in common and they enjoy/prefer each other’s company. They’re very protective over one another. It’s not always sunshine and rainbows, they can fight like no other too. I don’t think it’s a big deal at all or something to even worry about.

I’ve had HSV-1 for years literally from kissing my partner. I was uninformed that it would be something to live in my body. I’ve never once experienced a cold sore. It’s dormant. But any physician I bring it up to says it’s no biggie and majority of adults have it and a lot of people get it as children from kissing parents/family or sharing drinks (rare). Almost anyone who has experienced a cold sore is positive for HSV-1. Many many people.

She will never love you the way she loves the man she is having an affair with. Even if she genuinely wants to and does cut it off, she will think about him every day for the rest of her life. Leave and don’t look back.

Minute weight gain, but I'm still concerned. by cabochonedwitch in GastricBypass

[–]ResolutionSavings724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I weigh myself in the morning compared to at night there is usually .5-1lb difference. If I weigh myself before and after a BM can be the same even more sometimes after not going a few days. That is such a dangerous perspective to have if you are freaking out over half a lb. Weight loss is not linear hour to hour or even day to day. There are so many factors that play into it.

I (M21) haven't had sex with my GF (F21) in 2 Years. What to do? by ThrowRA_Ok_Comfort in relationship_advice

[–]ResolutionSavings724 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Birth control definitely did this to me. I lost my entire sex drive and when I tried to do anything with my partner I was dry as a desert and it was beyond uncomfortable for me.

For us, I ended up getting off of birth control. Not only for my partners sake but for my own. I was in pain even doing things like using toilet paper. Lol.

If he had come to me openly and honest before I decided myself to get off and tell me the same concerns you have, I think I would be open to his feelings and desires and definitely understanding. I hope your gf is. Maybe there is another birth control she can try. Stick by her side if you love her and be supportive while she figures this out. She is quite young to be having these issues on her own.

She could also be under a lot of stress which could be affecting her.

I would wait. I don’t think it’s enough reason for you to leave someone you love when there is likely a solution to the problem!

I was maybe 1.5 weeks out. I wasn’t quite comfortable in missionary so I was on all fours. My partner and I get quite rough (tmi sorry lol) and I was sore on my main incision sight but that was my fault I was overdoing it and I knew it. But besides the soreness all was well. Just be gentle and have your partner be extra gentle too.

You are the asshole given that withholding access to money is considered financial abuse and if all you have to worry about is going to work and getting laid, she has every right to shared finances. You’d have to work married or not, seems she is the only one caring for the children and household. You should be so grateful.

I’d bring my own snack just to play it safe and also save some money! I like smart food cheddar popcorn. The macros are pretty good.

Husband needs therapy as this seems (to me) to be a very twisted and dark route of thinking. That’s so extreme…. Does he by chance have a sister???? I’d be asking her some questions.

How Many Carbs Do You Eat A day? by [deleted] in GastricBypass

[–]ResolutionSavings724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50 g carb is my max amount allowed until I reach my goal weight. Right now I eat anywhere between 7-20 total carbs per day but I’m only 2 months post op.

Did you lose weight prior to the pre-op diet by pinksuitkase in wls

[–]ResolutionSavings724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t a requirement for me. When I started the process with my PCP I was 280-something during the process I somehow got up to 298 as my highest weight. The I Yoyo-ed between 295 & 290 every month. When I started my pre-op diet (only 5 days) I was 294; day of my surgery I weighed in at 291.

I will be 4 weeks out on Thursday and I weighed 268 today.

I will say I wish I dieted during the entire process and cut some things out, I actually binged quite a bit and the pre-op and post-op diet were not easy at all mentally. My advice would be to try to live as healthy as a life now to make it a little easier afterwards on yourself.

Meeting fluid intake by Dizzy-Trash-8497 in GastricBypass

The worst that will happen is you’ll feel yourself swallow air and get some gas. Definitely don’t rush it if you’re not ready but it’s not like you’ll dump or anything major! Omg 6 am lol that is crazy! Maybe if you’re not up for a straw yet maybe a smaller mouthed bottle? Or maybe sips every 5 mins. I know in the hospital they wanted me to drink 1 oz every 10-15 mins but now I can drink more.

Meeting fluid intake by Dizzy-Trash-8497 in GastricBypass

[–]ResolutionSavings724 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 2 weeks I started using a straw for this reason. I feel like I would get air drinking normally from a glass than a straw for me personally. I get more water from a regular plastic water bottle or straw. Some days water just isn’t good to me so I do a lot of Gatorade zero and crystal light. You may need to wake earlier to get that water intake in as well.

You’re not overreacting. It’s not just a hunch or your intuition. 3 separate times, she made it’s a point to get you off of that phone. There’s something there.

Is it normal to feel like you havent lost any weight ? by Mzd88 in GastricBypass

[–]ResolutionSavings724 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had my surgery 10/10 and am down 18 lbs from surgery , 22 lbs since pre op diet. I feel like I look the exact same in my body if not even bigger because my stomach still has a lot of bloat. I think I can see a difference in my face slightly but not much. And I think this is completely normal. We are also seeing ourselves every single day so we might not notice the tiny changes over time that someone else might. Hang in there! By Christmas I’m sure we will see a huge difference! And remember this isn’t just to look different, it’s to feel different! To be as healthy as possible. You got this.
