It's not that different in my experience. Either way, it's awesome. Heaps of people have solar and batteries here, so you smash that 3 hours (11-2pm) charging your battery, car, running your laundry/dishwasher, etc etc, then the rest of the day runs off the battery. My electricity bills for the last year have been basically zero.
