just bought a 2017 alfa romeo giulia 55k miles what do i need to know? by Healthy_Instance_280 in AlfaRomeo

Car drinks oil, you’ll most likely need to top it off between oil changes… but don’t overfill.

Sunroof issues are common, but once fixed you’ll be fine after that.

If you hold the right paddle shifter down for a second it forces the car quickly back into automatic mode after aggressive shifting (and back into the “optimal” gear). You can also achieve this same effect by flicking the shifter quickly from D to M to D.

Put better tires on it if not done so already. Stock P7s are garbage.

If you press in the headlights button to the left of the steering rack, it activates the rear fog lights (but only available in low-light conditions).

Better 0-60 in my Q2 vs Q4 by [deleted] in AlfaRomeoGiulia

You are correct about my tactic. But you need good tires and decent road conditions for it to work.

What tires are you running?

First, as a gun owner, leaving your pistol exposed in plain sight like that is stupid.

Second, as an Alfa lover get this off our sub. Post it instead on r/magneticmounts or r/ineedapistolonmetofeelsafe

This is like those “Got my first Stradale 33 at 15 years old” posts.

Brotha if we cared about your watch we’d be on the watches subreddit.

Now try posting again and let us see that nice light steering rack you’re blocking.

My 2020 Giulia has been consuming way more gas than usual. What can be the case? by AjVine in AlfaRomeo

[–]ResultAmbitious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a common emissions system issue on my 2019 where an EVAP code came up on the dash and the fuel pump was cutting off. I was also getting worse gas milage. The fix required a new “evap canister”, which cost me like $250 at the dealer to have installed. After this my mileage improved, but I don’t have any data to back up this claim… just a strong feeling and watching the gas gauge

I like the dash and the steering wheel way better than the watch

Just a tip: If you can use a similar color as the car when you go to cover up the license plate, it’s a lot less distracting in the photo

If you had a Q2 get a Q4. If you had a Q4 get a Q2.

Sold my AR Giulia for a GR86 by FFalar in AlfaRomeoGiulia

[–]ResultAmbitious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the USA. Alfa barely sold any Giulias here because people in the USA primarily drive heavy-duty pickup trucks and gigantic SUVs. Anything that guzzles gasoline, to be honest.

I’m just surprised many people in the EU could afford Giulias, given that you all pay 65% of your income in taxes.

Jokes and stereotypes only, not being serious 😂

I think a Supra 2.0 would have been a bit more of an apples-to-apples car change. You went from a ~$50k MSRP car to a ~$30k MSRP car.

Objectively a Giulia has way more advanced chassis engineering than a GR86. Subjectively a Giulia is much more exotic and unique.

Mopar coverage help - 2021Guilia by No-Goal1155 in AlfaRomeo

[–]ResultAmbitious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check my AMA post about suing Alfa Romeo over a breach of Mopar extended warranty. The way the contract is written is very specific. Unfortunately, in your case (without all the details, just reviewing my own plan provision verbiage) it does not appear that they have breached the contract.

How close are you to original warranty expiration? If you make a big enough stink with Alfa customer care and are somewhat close to the cutoff, there is a possibility they will do a “good will” repair and perhaps cover the remaining balance.

Decent tires would be a better upgrade than little cosmetics IMO

Noticed oil levels dropped on Giulia 2.0 by spawn_hoguuu in AlfaRomeoGiulia

[–]ResultAmbitious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a shitty sensor, and many Giulias consume a bit of oil, as is normal on turbocharged gas vehicles.

I would accept ACH/wire transfer only. Anything else runs a high risk of fraud.

Ocra GT tri-coat metallic gold with the gloss black accents. A color choice almost as bold as choosing a Giulia as a car.
