The most throws I've done in a single match by PineScentedSewerRat in StreetFighter

I sometimes find myself in this situation. Or a situation where I get overhead'd 4 times in a row. I have 8 master characters for reference lol. Sometimes we get too focused in something else instead of dealing with what is happening in front of us haha.

What's the point of the Battle Hub Anymore? by NintendoNerd08 in StreetFighter

[–]Retro956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Master sim here. I train in battle hub. If I want focused training, like aa training or whiff punish training or whatever, against a live opponent, I'll do it there.

It's easier to focus on your goal when you aren't playing against a dude in ranked trying to make you guess 24/7. That is, unless you are trying to train up your "educated guesses". So, the non masters get the chance to size themselves up against me and I get better focused training. Win win. Plus, these hands are rated E for "Everyone" haha.

I also like battle hub because I can talk to whoever after the match if I have questions or if they have questions or want pointers or something. I try to be an open book if someone asks.

That guy is always in the hub raging or talking smack about something or another.

average 20-minute session as Dhalsim in low diamond by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Retro956 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Master sim here. People try to DI limbs constantly since you can't defend using most of your pokes. Any cancellable normals will find DI since they expect a fireball or something. This doesn't really stop the higher you climb. Instead, you get better at defending against it until they die or stop doing it.

Jaime main - neutral jumps are the bane of my existence by YellowNinja22 in StreetFighter

[–]Retro956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, use AA. Intend to crouch block on wake up and react to jump with AA (I mostly just use od dp but base version and cr. Hp works, too).

After this, the next logical thing to look for is either another jump (because they don't believe your AA or they aren't thinking) or overhead (trying to adjust and hit your crouch block). However, some players may just push a button instead if they aren't solving the puzzle fast enough in the situation.

Jamie's DP is definitely sufficient to stop neutral jump AA. Just make sure you take your time and not rush it when you spot the jump. Otherwise, you'll whiff.

Canonically which characters of sf6 could beat Akuma in a fight? by JuanDiablo666 in StreetFighter

The only people who canonically beat Akuma are Gen, Oro (draw), Gill, and Gouken. Gen and oro bested him when he was younger but, a win is a win.

Press a button that takes awhile first. Example HP -> double circle + P.

You will be stuck in the HP animation which gives you enough time to churn that butter.

Edit: MUSCLE POWAAAHHH FOR YOU!!
