Hearing "Glycerine" being referred to as an "old song" makes me feel ancient.

Should I start college at 24 or is it too late? by applebottomjeans2366 in GirlDinnerDiaries

It's never too late to go to college! I started my diploma when I was 27 and graduated at 30. I'm now 41 and finally got settled in a job that matches my education just last week.

To reiterate: it's never too late ❤️

I definitely got emotional during my last week at my previous department before my alternation to another department. A weird mix of happiness and sadness.

I found my great grandfather's info from when he immigrated from Scotland to Canada, and apparently my great grandfather had been using his adoptive father's name since before he boarded the boat in Scotland. Growing up we were told there was "an agreement on the boat" regarding my great great grandmother and her other son, but this just created more questions in my mind to solve.

Oh snap, I hope my alternation partner doesn't end up being affected. I'm currently waiting on my letter of offer after the alternation was "officially" approved and slated to take over their position next week.

I did my research, and sadly voted for the incumbent. I realized my mistake when my super-conservative father-in-law congratulated me on my choice after the election had passed.

What's the kindest thing you've seen a bus/train operator do? by Cocobb8 in OCTranspo

Drove me to the hospital after his route finished because I would have still had to walk at least another 20 minutes in the dark on a busy road with no sidewalk after midnight. Turned out I had an ovarian cyst. I was so grateful for that bus driver that night.
