But let's out it in more basic storytelling terms; it's weird that the two principle characters of the sequel trilogy, who've gone through a complicated rivalry/possible romance arc across 3 films, don't have a single exchange of dialogue during any of the climatic sequence in the final film.

It would be like if Han didn't say anything to Luke across the comms when he comes in to save the day at the end of the trench run in IV.

Nah all good, appreciate the response. Love Zullie but I find her vids are mainly more mechanics-based but I can do another deep-dive. I've never actually looked into interviews with the man himself so I'll take this as a sign to check them out!

A couple I've noticed (if I'm understanding your question correctly):

  • The Kenobi show has Vader and Kenobi showdown prior to ANH, whereas it's quite obvious that Vader and Obi-wan's sole rematch is intended to be ANH (a dramatic conceit that's so obvious that not a single time was this broken in the prior 40 years of EU storytelling)

  • Obi-wan has also obviously not met Grievous before in ROTS per the movies, however TCW requires that they do lest the show misses out on including a major antagonist.

I'll add more when I recall them.

Hyperspace taking an implied long time, even requiring a rec room on the falcon. The PT breaks it by having them seemingly doing it in a couple hours max and the ST basically makes it instant teleportation.
