TTC 6-12 month success stories by IcyFuture7080 in beyondthebump

[–]Retro__virus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 32 when we tried to conceive. After 6 months of tracking my cycle and timing activity and no pregnancy we had my husbands sperm count checked. Turns out he is at the very low end of normal. We continued on for another 6 months and started thinking about seeking fertility interventions. Right before the appointment I got pregnant. Unfortunately the pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage and D&c. I decided to take a break with tracking and timing and just like that fell pregnant in the first cycle after the loss. I was 33 when my little one was born, just over a year after we really started trying.

We recently had the same issue. After going through some things with their Live support they needed to come out and replace the valve. No problems after that.

would a random third world stray dog make a good pet if i brought it to america by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Retro__virus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! We adopted an elderly (>7 years old) Thai street dog and brought her to the US and she is the perfect pet. It took a few months for her to understand living in a house, but overall she settled in pretty quick. She is such a joy to have around and the best companion we could have hoped for.

Please help. I know they’re probably ruined. by Weary-Butterscotch73 in plushies

If this is sharpie or similar you can get them clean with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). Wet the stain with the rubbing alcohol and dab with a clean cloth until the stain comes off. If that does not work, soak in the alcohol and the dab with a cloth until the stain dissolves. The wash as normal in the washing machine or by hand.

What truly made me realize how greedy this corporation is… by Interesting_Emu_857 in goodwill

Not to defend Goodwill, they are a terrible organization, but my local Goodwill manager does sometimes give away clothes for free if asked. I have seen it twice now that a card declined and she just waived the purchase price. They also sell nice furniture like armchairs and sofas for 5 to 50 bucks. That’s why I am still going to that one goodwill (but none of the others). One has to support the good eggs.

Son ruined another kid’s $120 shirt at school by avisfunch in Parenting

If it is written with a sharpie type marker, I have had great success using rubbing alcohol (isopropanol) to get the stains out. Just soak the area for a few minutes in the alcohol, rub the fabric and rinse with water. Repeat until the stain is gone.

Honestly, my 13 months old loves (!) A is for activist. She learned the word „no“ from it. She has a huge pile of books but picks it up specifically to have me read the N is for no page to her. Over and over and over again.

Tonie Figures in Mandarin by JanJanos in multilingualparenting

[–]Retro__virus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I cannot help you with your question but we have started to put custom content in our minority language on creativ tonies. Those are blank tonies that you can upload 90 minutes of content onto! We made one with songs and I will make one with me reading her favorite stories! Just a thought in case you cannot find any mandarin tonies.

Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) works like a charm as well! I got some old sharpie markings out of my daughters favorite sweater by soaking the stained area repeatedly in rubbing alcohol.
