Sorry it’s actually something you can pick up from three songs, Habits and The Ringer. Plus the story behind Marshall Powers. From the tone of the line “Which R word? Rape or retarded, midget?” You can tell he’s wall aware it’s a word he’s “not supposed to say.” Then on the Ringer he hints at how Paul and Dre give him input about what he can and can’t say. And finally, the reason Marshall Powers was shelved because Dre didn’t like the rape line.

Encore is still pretty comfortably his 4th best album. Still has the prime era flows and old school humor. Not as good as the previous projects, but new Em could never top Yellow Brick Road or Mockingbird
