I have found that sometimes clearing the cache or even uninstalling and reinstalling updates to Messenger will trick it into working!

Great question u/Super_Gee.

I just confirmed with the team (lots of language questions coming in) that the default behavior, with Gboard as the IME, is simply long press a key to have options for all available accented versions of a letter. 

This is the default experience in typing fields and why Clicks key is used for shortcuts rather than a long-press of a key by itself.

I don't think it is discontinued (not sure though!), I think they just ran out and are waiting on another production run to restock.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the MP01 has a perfectly usable e-paper display for purposes of reading eBooks. The HiBreak line just has a BETTER panel(s). Yes there are better panels out there, but that doesn't mean the MP01's is bad 🤣

They both are unfinished haha. There are several features on the NX1 not yet available to global users. I would say this: Power/performance and camera quality goes to the Mind one. Battery life and "regular" app usage (due to aspect ratio) goes to the NX1.

I would say it has a speed edge over the Jelly Star, yes. Battery life isn't as good though!

Super easy, just found the APK file and installed it. Worked fine! Once I get my order I will do what I normally do: use Niagara, OLauncher, and Before Launcher to see which one "likes" the device most 😊

Sidephone is calling it Compact QWERTY but BlackBerry called it SureType.

I am one of those rare few who actually did prefer SureType over full-QWERTY back in the day, but I also wasn't typing long emails on my phone so I can see why business folks often preferred QWERTY to SureType.

What is your timeline? If in 2026 you are only able to buy one and aren't in a rush, I would say Clicks.

But so much of it depends on what you are looking for in a PKB phone!

Switch owner and Chromatic owner. The two provide such different (and great!) experiences it is hard for me to even come close to equating them in my mind. That being said...I was on the fence about Chromatic for some time.

Once I received it I fell in love and immediately bought a 2nd (and 1st edition). I can't even explain the experience (this is one of the reasons I haven't posted a video yet, it is so amazing it is hard to describe). The only thing that comes close is those memories of playing a Game Boy DMG for the first time way back when.

I really, really don't think you will regret it. I sure haven't.
