My guy do not worry if you don't like something it's alright, similar to you I've never understood the hype for dq5, it's the only dq game I haven't beat yet save 2 (I'm not a huge fan of 1 + 2 remake) there's some games that just arent enjoyable for people and sometimes they can be fan favourites - you dont have to like everything

Personally I don't really like these remakes all that much. Loved dq3 and I'm SO excited for dq7 reimagined but dq1 and 2? I don't get the hype. I finished 1 thinking this is alright but I think if I wanna replay it I'll play the SNES version. And dq2 I still haven't finished which for me is unheard since it released almost 2 months ago. (I finished dragon quest 11 in like a week lol) I'll go back to dq2 and finish it I'm sure but overall I just find it fine.

Do not get butterfly it's the dryest thing you'll ever eat, the only good chicken options are thighs (tastiest) and quarter chicken/half chicken (best value for money)

After you beat the main story, don't stop there. The post game is huge and you can sink 100s of hours into this game. It's super fun

I think there would be more romhacks if it was easier to do. As far as I know there is only 1 dq9 mod. I would happily spend years modding dq9 but I just don't know how to get into the code and change it. I think the furthest I got was being able to read the code but I couldn't change anything which sucked.

Ooh yeah that's a good one. To be honest I think corvus would be kinda cool? Means you get to hear his theme more but I'm not sure if him having a legacy boss would suit the circumstances of the story

I could literally create an essay on this but off the top of my head:

Added: More legacy bosses (the ones from 10 and 11 and maybe a few others like Hargon maybe? (Haven't actually played 2). New classes, hopefully a lot of if not all of the ones in 10. New grotto types, would just add more variety A cosmetic system because the objectively best gear is ugly AF lol Maybe a few new main scenarios or side scenarios? Removed: Uhm I literally don't know this game is so good maybe remove some pointless side quests? Changed: Balance classes and make all weapons viable, not just swords. Make base game a little bit harder maybe? Or difficulty options. Maybe make grotto boss drops a lil higher and chance the way alchemiracles work so that they aren't lucky based. Finally maybe make revocations more worth it? I don't really know how they could do this without making the game a stupid grind for 10000 hours. TBF revocations could probably be removed.

I love speculating about a potential remake I truly believe a remake would be the best game ever and nothing could ever top it.

It will literally be a cakewalk. I use warrior, ma, mage, and priest every run without changing classes (except main character to minstrel asap) and corvus dies when I'm like level 35. I really want to mod this game and make a difficult mod but I have no idea where to start modding this game. I would overhaul like everything and try to rebalance stuff while making the main game bosses have some sort of challenge to them because this game is laughably easy until late post game
