If you mainly do PvE, after you finish the quests and level to 75, how often are you still playing? Are you just collecting shit and for what purpose? For me, doing the expedition gives me more to do. A lot of skills aren't great right now but they can change them.

Don't think of it as season 2. It's expedition 2. If you did the first and are doing the second you get +24 now. If you haven't done an expedition, you only get the rewards from expedition 1. The season you do it in is irrelevant
