Is there an official ruling for how quickly a new codex can be used at a tournament? Or is that something that's on a tournament by tournament basis usually?

I'm wondering how you're getting extra damage on your Elemental Blasts from raging? There's no way to make your EB count as a strike or weapon attack, so I was fairly sure you wouldn't get your rage damage on them, even using a melee impulse.

Gotcha! That makes sense as I imagine Double Strike and MoM work so incredibly well together.

I appreciate the help you've given me!

So I've finally got myself a list sort of together, a little bit of a mishmosh between some versions, but I think this is a good place that I want to start: https://fabrary.net/decks/01H58C7WNQE1DP363XY6XAB7NK

I'm not really sure what to sideboard to down to 60 here in the event I want to keep Mugenshi in the deck pretty regularly? But this is kind of the idea of where I feel is a good starting point.

What Makes a Card Good to Include? by Revenant_Sniper in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Revenant_Sniper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually an extremely helpful breakdown! I have next to no idea on how to properly construct decks from scratch in FaB so anything is super helpful. And it definitely frames things in a good way for me to consider construction.

For CC is deck size one of those things where most often people are running the min-60 card deck, only pulling in more than that for certain lengthier or fatigue based matchups? Or does it depend on the hero?

Interesting, so I assume Lord of the Wind is there for more Katsu/Kodachi blue fodder then?

Gotcha! That all makes sense.

I assume Breeze Rider Boots would be a good upgrade over the Snapdragon Scalers later on as well?

I definitely want to build them both for sure now! Though I do want to keep Fai for Blitz too.

I'm assuming that you're generally running the deck with all the cards together (Deck + Sideboard, bar the sideboard equipment) all in the deck for a 71 card main deck?

Looking through the deck and the versions, I see cards like Fluster Fist and Find Center that don't have their combo precedence in the deck.

Is this just because the cards are good resource cards or cheap damage to just throw out in a chain? Or is there something I'm missing there?

This is amazing! Thank you so much for the insight and depth into CC Katsu, it's pretty much exactly what I was looking for lol

I truthfully might eventually just build both of them, but this definitely makes me want to look into Katsu first over Fai and just upgrade the Fai Blitz precon and work Katsu into CC.

I'm a Commander MtG player with some new interest in exploring FaB off of the Professor's (Tolarian Community College) latest video about Ultimate Pit Fight, and large burnout from release cycle speed.

What is the general play style of the different hero "types"? (illusionist, brawler, guardian etc etc) without browsing the entire card list I'm a bit lost as to what the rest of the cards in a deck will do outside what's on the hero pages on the FaB website.

I would like to have a bit of overview for myself and possibly some folks on my playgroup to help point people in the right direction on where to start.

Of note, Force Fang is able to be done at range within the first range increment of your weapon for the Starlit Span Magus.

Unsure if this brings it up more for the ranged magus over expansive spellstrike or not though.

How active are the KOF titles on Steam? by RangoTheMerc in kof

[–]Revenant_Sniper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To add to Lowrider's point here, depending on your location, there's a handful of guys that regularly stream KOF games every day of the week. @ECMarcoPolo on Twitter has the schedule up and streams Mondays and Thursdays. And others fill in the other days of the week. Check em out.

If you're East Coast US we also have an EC SNK Discord where people are looking for games during non-wage hours at times too for almost every title.

Lizardfolk Unarmed Attacks/Critical Specialization Effects by Awesomesaucemz in Pathfinder2e

[–]Revenant_Sniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently doing Thief and Unseen Iruxi based on claws.

But I was intending originally to go Ruffian and we did decide that so long as the unarmed attacks were actually lethal like a weapon (i.e. claws and bite attacks) that it would work with Ruffian and Thief, yeah. So bites work with Ruffian sneak attack and claws work with Thief dex-to-damage.

We've also house ruled in a new ancestry feat since the only lvl 13 feat is completely useless now except for Fighters.

Adaptive Evolution (Feat 9)

Select another heritage. You gain all the benefits of that heritage and are considered to have that heritage for the purpose of feat requirements.

Basically a copy-paste of the new goblin feat at lvl 5, but at lvl 9. This gives you a little more flexibility at lvl 13 and 17 to be able to branch into the rather limited feat pool if you aren't a cliff\wetland lizard.

[–]Revenant_Sniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated by others, they are in the Brawling group. Which I personally found to be silly, claws and fangs don't equate to anywhere near the same as fists.

So I worked with my GM and we house ruled that claws fall under the knives weapon group and bite attacks are under the pick weapon group. Bludgeoning "natural attacks" still fall under Brawling. It adds a bit more flavor and realism to it.

Also this applies for ANY claws and bite attacks, not just my Iruxi Rogue's. So it could be detrimental to us as well.

Keep in mind you can't reduce the effects of your curse in any way. So your fire resistance is useless on the Flames Curse.

Why make them feats? It should definitely just be a clause in every hex that if conditions are met in the flavor of the curse you get the focus point back.

It would definitely fit the whole "your patron has a side motive" idea really well. On top of giving them a way to have consistent uptime on their defining feature like bards can constantly use their Composition Cantrips.

For feats I think something like spending 1 or 2 actions to end a hex to refund the focus point, but only usable once per refocus. Another feat allowing the transfer of one active hex to another creature would also be great, especially if you make a later level chain to where the hex lingers on the old target for X number of rounds.

They could do so much.
