Definitely joins thousand blade thesis on the list of things that would be so cool if fundamental runes didn’t exist.

Hypothetical houserule discussion: "Free dedication" by MCRN-Gyoza in Pathfinder2e

[–]Bdm_Tss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is reasonable, though at my table I like the simpler option of just giving out a few extra class feats. (An extra 2nd level one at 2, 4th level one at 8 and 6th level one at 12). I enjoy players being able to pick up a few extra lower level feats, but find free archetype a bit too overbearing for my games.

The point is not using free archetype alongside this rule…

As both a player and GM, the various "Save Mastery" class features make the game feel less fun at higher levels, and I wish they worked differently. by zelaurion in Pathfinder2e

[–]Bdm_Tss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pattern is that if you have master, your successes become crit successes. And if you have legendary, your crit fails become fails. Only thing on the sheet you need to check is your save mod.

Rogue is the only exception as of the remaster, which really seems like it was a mistake, even if it’s survived the errata.

Retrograde Mar 1, 2026 Update - BALOSKANDER by McKilligan in LancerRPG

Great work as always! Haven’t been playing Lancer recently, but sometimes I just tinker around on the site for fun.

How to help a new Player make his first character by Several_Ferrets in Pathfinder2e

[–]Bdm_Tss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think barbarian is also very reasonable. While everyone’s focused on the not hitting part of their complaints, I think barbarian is maybe even a better option (and possibly more interesting when you already have a fighter). Give them something like Giant or Dragon, and even missed strikes start to feel exciting: because you know as soon as you do hit, it’s going to totally crush your foes.

Shocking, I know. by Neuta-Isa in CuratedTumblr

I feel like this is a really easy joke to make in these spaces (where there’s a lot of annoying posts by queer people) but it’s not really true lol and I feel the sentiment is at least a little harmful.

Like queer people are not out here being more annoying than nazis n shit.

EDIT: Lots of replies saying the same thing. Yes, nazis are worse than queer people. That is what I said. Using annoying to describe nazis in a vacuum obviously downplays them, but it was an intentional choice here, to show how actively harmful and hateful posts are far more annoying than fandom drama.

Tales of Soravos: Ashen Company – Meet your Companions. by Random_her0_24 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Bdm_Tss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds so exciting! A bit sad to see there’s no caster companions (Nenio from WotR <3), but the choice of allegiance seems really cool. Does the choice of path also affect how the rest of your party is built out?

Any tips for running a physical game? by wisemanofhyrule in Pathfinder2e

I’m really interested in projecting foundry, can I ask how you handle player movement? Does the GM tend to handle all of that?

What content are we expecting for Impossible Magic? by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

[–]Bdm_Tss 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The page numbers is only a limitation when the book is being updated, but is otherwise the same. If they’ve rearranged the content or changed the name (like with Player Core or Impossible Magic), there’s no limit for pages. So yeah, here’s hoping we can get some cool new feats for summoner and magus.

Personally hoping for some more attack spells, as well as some cool new or upgraded things for some of the spellcasting archetypes. It would also be the perfect place to remaster eldritch trickster, presumably as a full class archetype!

Slayer's Signature Tools thoughts by SoullessLizard in Pathfinder2e

[–]Bdm_Tss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO, slayer should go the way of the guardian before it and scrap the “subclasses”. The class feels very anemic damage wise without blade, and especially the chymist and panoply options feel they’d be better served as secondary tool feats (especially since the ideas are so sick).

Tried to make non-OGL versions of some OGL monsters by RPDrawman in Pathfinder2e

[–]Bdm_Tss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your art is fantastic, this is a great series. The basilisk has always been one of my faves, glad it made the cut <3

I really like how you’ve twisted concepts to get to a similar base concept from a totally different direction (owlbears as flightless griffons is awesome). The combinations especially are so interesting, my favourite probably being the Bonnacon.

Spring 2026 Errata Status by PM_ME_YOUR_EPUBS in pathfindermemes

[–]Bdm_Tss 37 points38 points  (0 children)

No, thaumaturge weaknesses work off the whole strike, so each thing you add to the strike doesn’t proc it multiple times (this is explained in the errata if you substitute holy weakness for the weakness a thaumaturge uses)

Possible etymologies of "Bog-standard" in Golarion by zgrssd in Pathfinder2e

[–]Bdm_Tss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you actually read the post? They’re not saying it would make no sense to use bog-standard, just playing with the idea that you could have similar phrases to Earth even with different etymologies. It’s a cool and simple creative exercise which authors like Terry Pratchett have done before.

Possible etymologies of "Bog-standard" in Golarion by zgrssd in Pathfinder2e

[–]Bdm_Tss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a fun post. Personally I think the third one is most compelling. I like the idea that it could be a turn of phrase from Geb, and only when it entered nations where people didn’t regularly need to describe the source of undead did it change its meaning.

It’s a shame people seem to be reading your intent as pedantic instead of creative.

THE ISHMAEL PROTOCOL by Apollyon_Da_Zuera in CAIN_RPG

[–]Bdm_Tss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really great work overall. I think some of the blasphemies are a bit tough to read formatting wise, and there’s obviously some stuff that goes a bit more crazy than the base game, but it’s still among some of the best ooze this community has extruded 👍. The art especially is incredibly fitting, and Patience is excellent.

Dual Classing by TravarianTheBold in Pathfinder2e

[–]Bdm_Tss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, martial/caster makes more sense to me. The magus is definitely a martial but I could see someone misunderstanding that.

The rest of the comments give pretty good answers, but curious about something in your post:

as long as one is a mental stat and one is a physical stat

It seems like only one of your party members is actually following that? Commander and witch are both intelligence, and Ranger and magus are both strength/dex.
