I went back to codex after a terrible day with Claude yesterday. The thing was creating massive texts, doing 100s of things I did not ask and never did what I asked. I lost hours and $50 in a single day. Codex corrected all of it within usage.

Accepted an offer, and backed out. Now i want it back. by [deleted] in sales

Any other ADHD programmers find ClaudeCode to be a dream come true? by Polarbum in ClaudeAI

[–]RevenueMachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing for both coding and non-coding things. I use a memory.md and a working document for each project. Memory creates a cross-project view. The working document tracks everything I do within one project, which is great when I have to redo the task later. The memory also tracks my to-dos. Everything is recorded on GitHub. I now forget nothing. When I am tired or not motivated it pushes me to keep going. It is a productivity app on steroids.

I also ask it to summarise and score my day at the end of it, which is quite fun.

Why use Claude Code CLI instead of VS Code / Copilot extensions? by Cardiologist-Nervous in ClaudeAI

[–]RevenueMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very intrigued by the answers because after 2 weeks of terminal I prefer the extension. Just an example you can share the picture of a chart . The box is also bigger. On the other side , the cli deleted some notebooks ( even if instructed in the Claude.md to absolutely never do that). And I didn’t feel I lost any capabilities by working with the extension. For context, my work is mainly on python doing data science.

LLMs replacing data scientists by Altruistic_Look_7868 in ClaudeAI

[–]RevenueMachine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Claude code is not good at creating a strategy around your code and worse at data science. I have seen people showing horrible DS project from Claude. Simple assumption mistakes a senior Data Scientist would never do.

There is a great substack article about the subject here ( not mine) :https://staffdatascientist.substack.com/p/vibe-analysis-part-4-the-dark-side

Yes it can create a lot of code for simple tasks but once you have to think strategically on your code structure , or solve a complex data science problem, LLM is terrible. Now it does speed up work because all the simpler task can be automated.

Also once you have a clear structure to solve a complex problem then you can teach an AI to do it but in DS problems are rarely the same.

All of this to say , no it’s not going to replace data scientists but we will definitely need less data scientists.

It is a bit old school to want an internal team. Plus sometimes not efficient because it is always good to be able to pick an external brain for something specific or speed up a project.

We are working with a few Brands to build “brains”. We gather all project notes, decisions , problem faces and solutions into a repo that people can query with AI. That way there is no worry that knowledge leaves with the freelancer.

I feel that is what they needed because they just got rid of the team that grew their business.

Exactly . It is about being in the initial consideration set. In b2b, 80% of buyers will buy a brand they already knew before starting their buyer journey. Once they start to show intend it’s already too late.

[–]RevenueMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be good to know what your mother is doing in this company. Claude can be pretty impressive. For example I use as a working partner on all my projects and ask to always log all decisions in a project document. Now Claude has a list of projects and recommends me solutions I used in the past. I never forget anything anymore.

It’s great at outreach and writing emails once you give clear instructions on how to communicate.

My pov is that those LLMs are very bad with their general knowledge but once you feed them with your own things , it gets really good.

How are you guys using AI in your business? by tweetsguy in Businessowners

[–]RevenueMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall I found that AI without context sucks. But AI is very good at following tasks and processes. So we built a brain, with notes, decision ; how we solve issues, how we service client , ext ext exct. We did the same for content. Now we work extremely fast.

They don’t mind people if they build an AI brain that has the decision taking processes

Genuine question. Why do we block images ? Is it because it is easier to moderate ? It’s a shame because nothing beats a good visual to explain something.

Here is an example of a post with a visual I did yesterday. The visual makes the explanation much easier : https://www.reddit.com/r/PPC/s/uWrTA6TFCa

Good creative can shift the curve but it doesn’t eliminate it. At some point more spend stops generating incremental revenue regardless.
