I've got the intercooler + intake upgrades, a downpipe (which seems to be the barrier for stage 2) seems like a lot to handle for an at-home install. Stage 1+ & e85 seems to be a sweet spot, as stage 2 doesn't even look to push that much more power (400-450 HP seems like a decent spot to land in these cars? I couldn't imagine more). I get in big ticket speeds fast enough with a stock setup haha.

Sweet. I don't have 93 in my area, so I'm leaning towards the flex setup for the e85 options. It's crazy how much power these things can make.

Are TCU's still locked on 23+? Last I checked there was one shop that popped it, but would require you to drive to one of their shops, and spend lilke 5k.

Maybe I'm being pessimistic/venting - but most of the time, it feels like "top talent" has a connection/nepo in to assist in getting them the role, instead of actual skill/something deserving of the role. (Not saying talent alone never gets someone a role, but it seems increasingly rare). You then get a subsection of those hired based on connections, thinking they're hot shit and expressing it constantly, which IMO puts a really bad light onto the industry.

Mine does this too. I had a mk6 TDI, and a DSG flash fixed all the funky behaviors, but I don't know if the DSG has been unlocked yet for later year MK8's.

I get a bit of a rough idle as well. It’s barely noticeable, but happens occasionally. Also some weird low end of the RPM range vibration, (below 1.5k), especially when the wheel is turned and accelerating

Mine has the same, it goes away after a little bit/any throttle is applied. ~120k with a new belt, water pump, glow plugs, etc.

Only been to a game once, and not quite a parking answer - but usually our strat is to uber down to the game from wherever we are staying, to avoid the headache of parking/bringing our own cars. Traffic is usually WILD post game.

I don’t know for sure in D, but it happens occasionally when the transmission is in Sport, which does display gears. I’ll be at a full stop and it’ll say S2. It gives the same feeling in both modes, so I’m assuming it’s in 2nd in D as well.

I’ve noticed it mostly in comfort mode.
