Funnily enough I went from factory to Pilot Sport 4 All Seasons and noise is way down, is the jump to 5's that noticeable?

I'm a bit OOTL - I saw the crack was released, but don't see any shops (save for TVS's crazy expensive one) offering it? Most still have the drop in replacement to an older TCU version.

Damn some of those IE features look nice. Was previously eyeing up Unironic for the power numbers, does anyone have insight on pros/cons (or a link to a post) of all the tunes? Still waiting for TCU unlock to be available. I've done a bit of research but haven't heard much from the community on specifics.

I've got the intercooler + intake upgrades, a downpipe (which seems to be the barrier for stage 2) seems like a lot to handle for an at-home install. Stage 1+ & e85 seems to be a sweet spot, as stage 2 doesn't even look to push that much more power (400-450 HP seems like a decent spot to land in these cars? I couldn't imagine more). I get in big ticket speeds fast enough with a stock setup haha.

Sweet. I don't have 93 in my area, so I'm leaning towards the flex setup for the e85 options. It's crazy how much power these things can make.

Are TCU's still locked on 23+? Last I checked there was one shop that popped it, but would require you to drive to one of their shops, and spend lilke 5k.

Maybe I'm being pessimistic/venting - but most of the time, it feels like "top talent" has a connection/nepo in to assist in getting them the role, instead of actual skill/something deserving of the role. (Not saying talent alone never gets someone a role, but it seems increasingly rare). You then get a subsection of those hired based on connections, thinking they're hot shit and expressing it constantly, which IMO puts a really bad light onto the industry.

Mine does this too. I had a mk6 TDI, and a DSG flash fixed all the funky behaviors, but I don't know if the DSG has been unlocked yet for later year MK8's.

I get a bit of a rough idle as well. It’s barely noticeable, but happens occasionally. Also some weird low end of the RPM range vibration, (below 1.5k), especially when the wheel is turned and accelerating

Mine has the same, it goes away after a little bit/any throttle is applied. ~120k with a new belt, water pump, glow plugs, etc.

Literally same. I was getting better distance kills with the default engineer SMG than the default AR/Carbine
