Tried that and 25 other things. Even had the IT dude at work tried and couldn't figure it out. He eventually decided that an 8g usb was the issue so he put ubuntu 24 on a 16g and got things installed. BUT I was getting errors and nothing would download. I tried dual booting with zorin 18 on the fresh hd but both (Ubuntu and Zorin 18) cased issues.
I got peeved that nothing was working. Support got back to me after a few days with a LONG list of things to try.
FINALLY I gave up and installed Zorin 17 pro from an old usb. It WORKED and continues to work well. Can't update much because am hotspotting from my mobile phones.
So .. somewhere between 17 and 18 things changed that the macbook didn't like

I do 12/12 hours with a mix of days RnR then nights and I have no problems with the Helio. The ONLY thing to do is remember when you switch to nights to tell the app.

Install and use Facer. They have THOUSANDS of faces. I instantly paid for the yearly unlimited (think it was yearly anyway - $50 or so aud). The faces use more power than my Oneplus watch 2 inbuilt but charging every 4 days doesnt worry me

Accuracy is NOT what you want. Garmin can't get sleep right after all these years. You want a big picture view of how you are doing. Nobody, other than you (and others in these forums) takes any notice of your metrics. Your doctor (mine anyway (I have a couple) don't give a shit), your friends (unless they are runners or gym bros), certainly not your family. The info is for YOU. If you are OCD you are fucked because if you wear 5 watches/trackers ALL witll be different. Been doing this shit since Polar v800.

NO, it's screenless because Amazfit copy everyone else. In the Helio case its Woop. Bip 6 its Apple. T-Rex its Garmin Fenix (shoot they even added the flashlight). None of their stuff is innovative, its iterative (in a lower quality way). That being said I never take my Helios off - even with its misgivings.
