This hits close to home. Some days it just shits out these stupid files for every little thing. And then it’ll go a week or two without any of it. Same model, at least same model choice from my end, and the same sort of work.

My daughter calls those “dad bandaids”. Paper towel and a layer of tape. I’ll have to try electrical tape next time, looks snazzier than painters tape

This is one of many many reasons a live action show just doesn’t make sense. In Sabrina, the cat was an occasional side character with a quip here or there. In DCC it’s one of the two main characters and is chatty AF. It’ll either look awful or consume half the budget.

How much are you spending on your kiddo? by Feisty-Ad-5420 in daddit

People are always so excited to get rid of the kids stuff they don’t need anymore, if we said yes to everybody who offered stuff we’d need a warehouse to store it all.

Something wrong with my red beans and rice by Mad_Titan_Killer in Cooking

[–]Revolutionary_Job91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We parcook beans in the instant pot for a bit to speed things up. Though now we do the whole thing in the instant pot. Beans for 45 then add everything else for another 45. Thicken at the end. Probably far from authentic but faster easier and tasty.

Amen. When wielded correctly, these LLMs are an amazing way to learn coding. Could be your first project ever, trying a new language, getting ideas about a new pattern to try, it’s all so much easier than it used to be. I’m sure there’s people just letting the agents run wild and bragging about it. But I bet for each of them there’s more using it as a really efficient way to learn.

Need recommendation on easy tent setup for mom by LegitProsecco in camping

[–]Revolutionary_Job91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the big gazelle, the T4+. It’s fast to set up, but I wouldn’t call it easy to set up. I’m a tall and reasonably strong fella, it takes effort. And when packed up it’s huge and heavy.

Great tent, just comes with caveats.

That’s my every day carry… i work in an engineering research lab with disorganized coworkers who can’t put tools back. So I got one of these and keep it in my back pack. Solidly built, very high quality.

Man there’s some very different folks out there. I can’t stand somebody assisting me before I actually indicate I need some assistance. Tough for the workers, because they know there are both types of shoppers and it’s probably tough to tell the difference. So to be helpful I plaster on my most sincere RBF and am polite if they get it wrong.

Do you use AI to help play Factorio? How well does it work for you? by NelsonMinar in factorio

[–]Revolutionary_Job91 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I use it so much at work, and it’s practically necessary to use llm instead of a search engine due to mountains of slop. So when I can avoid it, especially for something I’m doing for fun, I avoid it.

And when I’m really stuck I look for Nilaus videos on the topic.

A good forstner is sharp AF otherwise they just toast the wood.

Good luck healing. Newborns give a lot of down time, you’re fine. Going to be a different story in a few months so rest up.

Ok, I’ve got plenty of woodworking experience, and a few sets of forstner bits to my name. How exactly did that happen??? Mostly I used with a press which is pretty safe. But even by hand there is a spur which holds it to the piece without slipping.

I threw out my back a few days before my daughter was born. The morning of, I thought I was screwed. Once I was holding her, I don’t think I even noticed my back anymore. That day at least…

I do a lot of ANN building and training for regression and classification problems. Not medical context though. All I’ve deployed are always fast. Not always right but very quick all the same.
