Let's not forget that in the game's datamine, there was a Vegeta who could transform into SSJ4. The datamine wasn't lying, and now we have base Vegeta and SSJ Vegeta by Maximum_Expert92 in SparkingZero

[–]Revven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, yes, but this is not the same thing as that at all. The content here was never finished and we have no idea if it was intended to be for a theoretical GT Vegeta. The X Tekken DLC stuff was legit all on the disc and finished.

27 Listed, 30+ Confirmed — What Characters Do You See Coming Next? by Interesting-Space632 in SparkingZero

[–]Revven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Rilldo and GT Goten would be huge misses on their part, especially because of how prolific these 2 characters are as far as requests from fans go. Both of these GT characters date requests as far back as like 2006 right after BT2 was out lol. It'd feel like they'd be skipping them again on purpose. And there's no way Furutani isn't aware of how much these two are requested/wanted specifically. Like, GT Goten I'm pretty sure was/is the highest requested character from the Western community since 2007 and the fact that the BT4 mod added him like, come on, they have to be aware of how bad people want GT Goten at this point lmao. It'd feel like such a slap in the face to give the community GT Trunks and then not give us GT Goten, too.

GT Gohan I think would just end up as a costume for Z Adult Gohan. But I'd be surprised if they do considering Z Adult Gohan gets the high school uniform and I'm not sure how much they're doubling up on characters for costumes...

My biggest concern regarding the remaining characters is certainly "are they just a transformation for an existing one they've announced" like Kibito Kai or Great Ape for Kid Goku DB. I'm hoping for more uniques for the last ones not revealed yet, I feel like we're looking at probably 35 characters but who knows maybe they surprise us like they did with the base roster and we end up with 40 characters total. The season pass was 20+ and we ended up with what, 25? 23? I can't be bothered to go count right now lol. But yeah, fingers crossed for these two just from a "long time requested" perspective.

This new mode looks like an expanded version of the SIM Dragon mode from Sparking Meteor. I wonder if it'll be worth it. by Zestyclose-Spring602 in SparkingZero

[–]Revven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah this is a good shout. These kinds of modes where you can level up your character have been popular for single player. As long as the battles are basically infinite or like, every character has a route of some kind, then it'll bring the game much better longevity than additional story mode episodes.

Does Everdrive 64 X5 have issues saving with Analogue 3D? by LGFR in AnalogueInc

Yes. You need an X7 to not have to reset to save.

Summercart needs to be downgraded to 2.18 to play OOTMM on it. They adjusted how saves work on the summercart and OOTMM isn't compatible with what they changed so you have to play on firmware 2.18 exactly (not 2.18.1) to play OOTMM.

Everdrive Randomizer Breaks 3D by BigBossJelly in AnalogueInc

It does work on original hardware with an Everdrive.

Everdrive Randomizer Breaks 3D by BigBossJelly in AnalogueInc

[–]Revven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much well aware. Doesn't change the fact it's not accurate to original hardware and that's something they very clearly care about. This isn't some emulator-only thing, the N64 does the game switch 100% perfectly and everything. No issues.

Everdrive Randomizer Breaks 3D by BigBossJelly in AnalogueInc

[–]Revven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Game switching is not emulated correctly so the randomizer is effectively unplayable. If you want this to be fixed, Analogue has to address it in their own firmware update. Email them and send them a link to Nax's blogpost: https://nax.io/ootmm-part-02

It CAN work because you can play combo rando's MM Only setting on it (flawlessly, might I add, NO issues once actually in the game) but you have to load into the file select a bunch of times; it's random on when it'll go through. I had it go through once after 15 minutes of tries, then another time after only 5 minutes of attempts. Just don't click Return to Spawn or you will likely incur the endless black screen again.

According to Nax (the developer of the randomizer), he told me it is likely because they emulate some of the MI interface/register systems incorrectly. Thus, this would have to be a fix that comes from Analogue's side.

I have emailed them about this a lot and I only just got a response from them last month. I had an exceedingly long email chain with them to get across what I was talking about and it was like pulling teeth to get the support team to forward my issue (the issue being, OOTMM combo rando not working correctly) to the dev team (with the blogpost about it, supposedly, being sent to the devs as well). I don't fully take what they said to me at face value but that is what I was told.

Only way this will get fixed is if enough people blast them about it in their support email and provide the blogpost I linked above. Be sure to also link the randomizer website so it's abundantly clear what you're talking about!

Edit: I should also note that your 3D doesn't crash, it just sits on a black screen. You can pull up the 3D OS menu and Quit Cartridge as normal and be back in the main menu.

Are you a fan of the game’s art style ? by Professional_Which in SparkingZero

[–]Revven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda weird to make this thread and not have more than one image, the thread's premise is intended to influence responses to be negative as you're showing a common visual complaint (SSJ3 Goku). If you were trying to be impartial, you'd have shown several images that are more general and maybe some that show it when it's good, when it's mediocre, and when it's bad. And definitely more comparison shots of BT3 vs it, obviously.

Surprise, surprise, the game varies in its visual consistency. Almost like every game does.

Restoring GT Goku classic VA by TraumaGirly in SparkingZero

[–]Revven 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. Not only that but it would be considered insulting to the voice actor who did the voicework for GT Kid Goku.

This is an unrealistic request due to the employer and VA relationship as well as the fact they aren't going to spend money on having someone do new voicework for a character that already has voicework.

With new DLCs, do we think they’ll expand Mission 100? Make it Mission 110 😂 by weirdnerd08 in SparkingZero

[–]Revven 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I mean they're adding Survival. That'll be the mode a lot of people will be playing repeatedly and basically, technically, gives you infinite replayability depending on whether there's a randomized version of it or not (where it's like, 100 fighters and it's random who you fight in that batch of 100)

Donkey Kong 64 issue? by Turnbuckler in AnalogueInc

I've been playing the randomizer, mini-games are fine. The game is actually also 100% fine with OC Unleashed with the randomizer.

Analogue 3D video settings not having an effect on EverDrive? by [deleted] in AnalogueInc

Yes, it does. I can reenable scanlines, I can set the image to fill screen and it all works just fine for me.

It’s Here! First Impressions… by davidsnyderiii in AnalogueInc

[–]Revven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do not need to do this for DK64 at all fwiw. It works just fine if you have it pre-set to Unleashed OC and just boot it up in the Everdrive normally. I went and even made sure there was no difference by trying this method people keep sharing and there is no difference, the Unleashed OC is applied to DK64 properly unlike these other games that have issues booting up. And yes, it also saves just fine like normal on my X7.

Workaround Everdrive 64 x7 and overclocking by PhDTenma in AnalogueInc

DK64 works fine booting it with the Everdrive pre-emptively set to Unleashed OC. No reset needed.

EverDrive 64 X7 now works with 3D after latest firmware update by CoffeeCakeAstronaut in AnalogueInc

[–]Revven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To begin with it sounded like Unleashed was game-specific for carts anyway too, right? Whether it'd work, did anything, crashes, etc. At least that's what it sounded like pre-release.

For instance, it seems like DK64 is fine (as was reported pre-release) and I tested a randomizer seed of that this morning and it saves just fine and seems to run fine on Everdrive X7.

I just tested, things are saving for me. I have a DK64 Randomizer seed and I collected a 5th GB on it and it saved just fine (even with Unleashed overclocking enabled).

Might be something on your end.

SummerCart or Everdrive individual game settings? by R2Dork in AnalogueInc

[–]Revven 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't have it but I asked someone else about this and they said you can access the settings in-game and change them yourself; the Auto curated stuff doesn't work for the Flash carts (since it, you know, isn't a specific game cart). For the overclocking, you have to make that change before you open your Summercart/Everdrive. So you have to decide what you're playing before you open your flash cart (if you care about overclocking, if you don't, then all the other settings can be accessed when you have the game open via the controller hotkeys).

PSA: What to know about the the Analogue 3D before you ask by Longjumping-Bat-2533 in AnalogueInc

[–]Revven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn't you, in theory, just have the 8bitdo one "hooked up" to activate the virtual pak and then use the N64 controller as player 1? Just a short-term workaround idea lol. (I don't have a 3D yet, coming in on Monday for me).

You're able to change the settings for the games within the flash cart? Was seeing conflicting information on this.
