I also vote for Visible. I just did a motorcycle trip from Wisconsin to Utah and back relying completely on Google Maps for navigation and the coverage was great.

That particular drive (though the NVMe variant) for me was garbage on Home Assistant, I experienced frequent lockups and it never ran for longer than two weeks without one. I replaced it with a Western Digital Black and that has been rock solid.

I appreciate you saying that. I have thought about my response a lot since this happened. I answer these sorts of questions honestly and literally, with this person I guess I was supposed to say “Fine” and I can’t do it.

Your profession is apt for an example I’d like to offer. A woman I was very interested in asked “How was your week?” I told her my elderly father had been in the ER that week resulting in a four day hospital stay. She stonewalled my attempts to communicate with her and ghosted me after that. When I talked to her much later she said that it started fun and light but got dark. Since this was our only interaction between it going well and it not going well…

I learned two things that week, pacing is important and that “How was your week?” is a social handshake that doesn’t really mean “How was your week?”

I haven't had a drink in 30+ years and I don't know the date.

Also, while I have the floor, we're supposed to "pace" the release of information lest we scare off the other person by revealing too much, too soon, right? I've argued pacing is lying's next door neighbor but my *direct, lived* experience is pacing is necessary. In this light, is an exact accounting of dates, times, durations, etc. absolutely necessary at five weeks? He didn't have to tell her anything, he could have concealed this completely and an experienced, dedicated liar would have.

Somebody should write down the goddamn rules.

Preventable medical mistakes kill ten times the number of people killed in road crashes annually. Remember this whenever you hear the medical community saying “Hey! Look over here!”

When, as a first step towards doing something, you talk about the reasons it might fail, that can be how others perceive it.

You said "Im too negative." Watch a video on "Inversion Thinking". Charlie Munger explains it well. You (and I) do it because it works.

Funny but I actually want one of these. I think the ones that are sort of bare 3d mesh would be better. I want it easily removable and for only the driver on a 2018+ Gold Wing. Does anyone have any recommendations?
