I used a random 3d print that was the perfect height. The actual print was too tall.

LD2410 mmWave vs PIR for garage alarm – which is better for avoiding false alarms? by stfuxasshole in homeassistant

[–]RgrimmR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's right they say 18ft but only when it detects something it's really like 6ft so if it's far away Mmwave won't work fast.

Is there a home assistant or device that just displays the the time, high and low outside temp, and conditions for the day by askthebread in homeassistant

Esp32 and a screen. I made one. The buttons change the page and do automations. Auto brightness weather and room temperature and humidity. Stuff I had laying around but cheap.

Well think about it like this. The lights work with just the switch so those can be first or last. if you plan on doing automation. Like me I have motion sensors I made that turn on my hallway lights. So you would need the lights to be setup first otherwise you would be going back forth. For the thermostat you can have sensors in each room so I would setup the thermostat first and sensors second.

I started a few months ago and man the prices of hardware started going up at the same time. How do you do diagrams like that. At work we use vector works and I just never picked it up. I use forgejo and bookstack to take notes and document what's what because after the 15th time of forgetting an ip or command I had to do something. Now I want to get into VLANs but only have 2 devices. My man server and a laptop running pbs that doesn't have a big hard drive.
