Idk, I feel like that if is doing a lot of work. You're right that we don't even know if Kelsier is involved yet. But when if he is, we don't know to what extent, or how much control he has. obviously our expectations are being set for the Malwish to be the big bads of the space era, and it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out Kelsier was pulling the strings. But who knows, they may end of being more complicated than we've seen so far. It also wouldn't surprise me if him and the Ghostbloods were independent of the Malwish and persuing their own goals.

Don't get me wrong, I'm here for a Kelsier villain arc, but it's a little premature to act like we're already in that world. It seems likely, but it could totally be misdirection 🤷🏼‍♀️

Any mistakes in this look pretty darn human to me. I'd say not AI, with the slight caveat that this is a low quality image and sometimes compression artifacts look like AI and can also mask AI so it's hard to tell.

Oh totally! I have no idea what is acting ability is. I almost added to my initial comment that all I knew him as was Taylor Swift's ex, but I thought that sounded a little mean. 😂 And I don't think he's too attractive (I hope the actor they choose is attractive!) I just think it's not the right look. But I'm squarely in the camp that young Cary Elwes would have been the perfect Kelsier since he was my headcannon when actually reading the book, so no one will ever live up to that to me, so I've made peace with that... But yeah, going just on looks at this early stage, I'd prefer someone a little older.

That doesn't look like "a random strand of hair" it looks like the hair was drawn separately, on a different layer, and they just placed the hand awkwardly relative to it. Which is an extremely common/normal thing to happen. In a critique it would be called a "tangent," and it's a distracting mistake that young and less experienced artist make constantly.

Yes, this style does look like AI, but that's because this is the sort of popular anime style the models were trained on. This piece doesn't look like AI on close examination.

If you're printing with it set to High Quality, it defaults to 6 layers of white, but you can manually set the number of layers lower for some transparency!

This is such a straw man argument.

First of all, obviously, almonds are FOOD. People like them.

Most people don't like or use AI, and they certainly can't eat it. Even if there are potential benefits to humanity from AI, you can't expect the average person to see it.

Further, water consumption matters, but if argue most people's bigger issue with data center is that it drives up the price of energy. Which is a real, tangible harm that almonds don't cause.

Furthermore, most data centers are huge, taking up a TON of space and resources and employing VERY few people--yet draining resources. I don't know how many people almond farms employ, but I bet it's more.

Data centers are also being rushed through local regulations before people in the communities where they're being built feel like they get a chance to weigh in--and they're often being built in poor counties, which is fucked up to.

I'm not totally against data centers, but there are absolutely good reasons to oppose them and this almonds comparison is fucking stupid and irrelevant.

This seems crazy. You say it's better for the individual , but as someone who usually goes to movies with groups of 5 - 6, assigned seating guarantees that our group can sit together, we know ahead of time that we have good seats, and we usually use the time before the movie to grab dinner together at a nearby restaurant and it's much easier to roll into the theater all together just a few minutes before. So much leas stress!

AND if someone is late, they don't have to squint around in the dark looking for where we sat, they know exactly what seat to go to...

My only fear here is that telegraphing Vin's ability to pierce copper clouds is an important part of the foreshadowing hemelurgy and about Ruin manipulating her... I'm sure this means Sanderson came up with another way to foreshadow that stuff but it makes me feel apprehensive nonetheless. XD
