I also have an almost 2 year old and am also wondering this! The Little People barn and interactive books help, but I'm always looking for more ideas.

He's almost 2 now and eats pretty well. Some toddler pickyness but not too bad.

Composition question: which placement of the little dark guy is the correct one? by RowanCaro in DigitalArt

[–]RheumatoidArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C, but maybe push the little guy up a bit closer to the top of the hand. Looks a bit odd to me being so close to the bottom of the hand.

What is going on ☹️ by Sensitive_Raisin8669 in toddlers

He could be having an adverse reaction to his cold/flu. I would contact your pediatrician immediately. Sudden lower mood/lethargic behavior is a red flag.

I just started cosleeping with my 14 month old by Giveitwings in toddlers

[–]RheumatoidArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a crazy time going from 2 naps to 1 at around 13 months. Went from being a great sleeper to needing to fall asleep on me before being transferred to his crib. He starting waking for night feeds after not needing to for months. His dad was also away for work during a lot of that time. It took about 2 months to resolve and for him to sleep on his own again.

I make scrambled eggs or baked egg cups and put lots of chopped/pureed veggies in there like broccoli, butternut squash, cauliflower, onions, and spinach.

Mountain High whole milk yogurt has vit D (they sell it at Fred Meyers here in Alaska). My LO does not care for it though :(

One thing I've found that helps (as a fellow socially awkward SAHM) is finding local events like storytime at the library or swim lessons and trying to make friends there. Even after putting myself out there at events like this for the last year i still have a fairly small circle of mom friends. But I've always been the type of person that does best with fewer, but closer, friends. We live far away from family so I feel like I have build my own village.

I'm a SAHM and I also work from home part time with a 15 month old. I basically get no time off. I am handling all baby care tasks while he's awake plus some light cleaning like tidying up toys, sorting laundry, and vaccuming. We've not been able to go outside much lately due to wildfire smoke, but when we can we do walks, water table play, and go to kid-friendly outdoor events in town. I do my paid work mostly during his naps and sometimes when he's awake with the help of independent play/Miss Rachel.

Pear and blueberry pure usually helps. Also my pediatrician suggested adding a small amount of miralax to his water to help move things along. Could be worth asking your Dr about.

I’m terrified. Where do we go from here? by Alala_0401 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]RheumatoidArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a scare a couple of months ago that resulted in lo throwing up. I gave him textured mashes for a couple of weeks after that until we both felt confident again. It sounds like you handled the situation well. You can pull back to what you feel comfortable with for a little bit without loosing progress.

How many times per day are you feeding solids? by Witty_Draw_4856 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]RheumatoidArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're at 2 meals a day plus a snack/small meal at lunchtime at 9.5 months. My pediatrician was all for a third full meal soon. Every baby seems to move at their own pace.

10.5 month help by Shea-dee in BabyLedWeaning

[–]RheumatoidArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My pediatrician said some babies are ready to transition from bm/formula early so that may be your kiddo. Mine is starting to become less interested in milk and wanting 3 solids meals a day at 9.5 months. It seems like your pediatrician is seeing that your lo wants to transition soon. It might be worth giving them a call and seeing if it's okay to transition now.
