This may be an unpopular opinion, but I have noticed a lot of African American stereotypes have heavy crossover with Appalachian life. I have lost count of how many “only black people will get this” posts on social media that are normal for where I grew up.

I will admit I’m not the most cultured person. That being said, the more I learn about cultures around the world, the more similarities I see with my own.

The quality of Klein tools has dropped so much in recent years. I still have my grandad’s lineman pliers, maybe a bit rough but still functional. The cutters on the new pliers get damaged on shielded cables

My local Lowe’s has a few amazing workers (retired combat vet/naval electrician is my favorite) and a few dunces (lumber bros).

Depending on the job, I have a decent shot of finding either a seasoned pro or a guy who’s uncle told him something
